Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News

The White House is banning phones and "personal devices" from the West Wing the day after a flood of embarrassing stories from the book of a writer granted insider access. The change comes after outlets including the Daily News published reports based on the upcoming book Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House by reporter Michael Wolff. Wolff said he was able to take up "something like a semi-permanent seat on a couch in the West Wing" in an arrangement blessed by President Trump and unrestrained by clear rules on his access.

The White House reacted angrily to the "trashy tabloid fiction" of reports which included a barrage of quotations from former strategist Steve Bannon calling a meeting led by Donald Trump Jr. with Russians "treasonous" and labelling Jared Kushner's business dealings "greasy."

Can anyone help me understand how banning devices prevents the creation of fake stories?

It would appear that the stories are true if this is the response.

Is this about the Leaking? Is he suddenly worried about the competition?

I thought that Trumpy likey the Leaking.

There is a dossier out that clearly says Trumpy is the Biggest Leaker, the Best Leaker the most Leaky Leaker ever!

And if his own Leaking was not enough he has been known to bring in extra Leakers.

More Leakers than any other President in history!

I'm mildly surprised that those working in the WH aren't subject to similar security policy as natsec people in SCIFs.
