Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News
Thursday, January 04, 2018

There are 32 teams in the NFL and only two of them will be getting a parade this year: The team that wins the Super Bowl and the Cleveland Browns. Browns fans didn't get to celebrate a single victory in 2017 and because they are clearly desperate to celebrate something, ANYTHING, thousands of fans will be taking part in a "Perfect Season" parade this week to celebrate the team's 0-16 record. ... "It's going to go around the stadium [to form] a big loop, a big zero for the number of wins we had this year," McNeil said, via NBC 4 in Cleveland. Fittingly, the temperature on Saturday is expected to be around zero degrees, which means Mother Nature is definitely doing her part to celebrate the Browns' zero-win season.

In trumpspeak, what the Browns did is called 'winning'.

Here in SantaClara (San Francisco 49ers) we stopped going to games until JimmyG showed up, no way we would have had a parade out, its 54 degrees outside.

Good for the fans, they deserve it, I hope the team is paying for some it, it would be the classy thing to do.

What's the matter with 54 degrees? Seems like perfect parade weather.

(x) No, that's "Hillaryspeak", you turnip head. You remember her, the one that you guys chose as your candidate, the one with the biggest choke job ever? Sure you do.

Glad to see the Browns fans aren't taking things too seriously. I never could understand why some get so hyperventilated about the NFL, which I consider to be fixed. Of course, living in the Bengals' market doesn't help. That team has a commitment to getting paid to show up, not paid to win...

The NFL needs to pay attention to their product. Data on the ESPN site show attendance is down almost 2%, or 300,000 persons, for the season. TV ratings are down much more, for a long list of reasons, according to SI.

They get First Draft pick...And they need it...But they'll screw it up somehow.

They've had high Draft picks for most of the last 15 years. What good has it done them?

they got to trade those draft picks for some worse draft picks. And they've destroyed many young Qb's dreams.

We'll see how Mr. Baker Mayfield likes it there.

Cleveland would be really stupid to draft him.

why? Please tell me you don't think they should trade that first round pick for 2 - 10th round picks and a wagon full of chickens?

Because he won't help them. I don't know what they should do....but another 6' quarterback isn't the answer.

When I get down on humanity, I read a story like this and realize we aren't such a bad people. Hilarious

They're probably going to take Sam Darnold from USC at #1.

They won't trade down because they've done that a bit too often in that past and there would be some sort of revolt... i dunno like fans parading in the cold or something...
