The Swampers was the most heard but least known band ever. They were the studio backup band @ Fame Studios.

They played with some of the biggest artists of all times, and they played all different types of music with no degradation in quality.

There is a very good documentary on Netflix about Rick Hall, the Fame Studios and the Muscle shoals sound that attracted the artists. It's called Muscle Shoals.

Percy Sledge, Gladys Knight, Etta James actually put the studios on the map.

Those soul singers loved that hillbilly band.
