Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News

Veteran journalist Carl Bernstein said Sunday that President Donald Trump's lawyers are telling him what he wants to hear about the probe ending soon to prevent Trump from firing Mueller. "There are many times he has expressed, I'm told by people in the White House, the desire to fire Mueller, the desire to pardon people under investigation including his family," Bernstein, a CNN contributor, told CNN's Dana Bash on State of the Union. "His lawyers are telling him what he wants to hear -- that's what I'm told -- by lawyers in the White House, they're telling him what he wants to hear to keep him from acting precipitously and to go off and fire Mueller in a rage, or fire (Deputy Attorney General) Rod Rosenstein in a rage. They have an out-of-control client."

Nothing, absolutely NOTHING, is more important in 2018 than taking the US House from the GOP, and beginning the end of Trump's horrific presidency. The well being of the nation depends on it. Don't let a day pass without doing some act to help Democrats win control. STOP TRUMP!

A part of me is starting to look forward to when Trump fires Rosenstien or Mueller.

Ever wonder what a general strike in America would look like?

Only those in medicine, law, and gas stations will be going to work.

"Ever wonder what a general strike in America would look like?"

I wouldn't want to hang my hat on that solution. As long as we have GOP pants ------- in Congress, we're just asking for more of the same in 2020.

We've got one shot to STOP TRUMP in 2018. Don't let it slip through our finger.

"Ever wonder what a general strike in America would look like?"

It would look like Trump calling out the National Guard to break the strike.

Or worse yet, Martial Law.

How would you like to wake up one morning and find out that ALL of your rights no longer exist and you're under the total control of a sociopathic dictator who hates you and thrives on your misery ~ like Donald Trump?

Soldiers and others take an oath to the Constitution, not Trump. We'd see a test of that.

A general strike might be the only thing that moves my useless coward of a Representative from seeing how much of Trump's -------- he can stuff down his throat.

"Soldiers and others take an oath to the Constitution."

Have you forgotten that Posse Comitatus can be suspended?

This is really one of the most interesting stories I've seen. If Trump's insanity is this well understood by his lawyers, then it most be clear to everyone close to him.

If there isn't some plan to keep Donald from the nuclear football then it's political malpractice on a scale unheard of. Hell, keeping him in office for just one more day is almost equally bad.

I momentarily got a vision of his lawyers doing Jedi mind tricks on him when I first read the headline

"These are the things you want to hear"
