Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News
Sunday, December 10, 2017

Around 5:30 each morning, President Trump wakes and tunes into the television in the White House's master bedroom. He flips to CNN for news, moves to "Fox & Friends" for comfort and messaging ideas, and sometimes watches MSNBC's "Morning Joe" because, friends suspect, it fires him up for the day. ... Before taking office, Trump told top aides to think of each presidential day as an episode in a television show in which he vanquishes rivals. People close to him estimate that Trump spends at least four hours a day, and sometimes as much as twice that, in front of a television, sometimes with the volume muted, marinating in the no-holds-barred wars of cable news and eager to fire back.

In recent weeks, the president made a derogatory reference to Native Americans in front of Navajo guests, insinuated that a television host was involved in the death of an aide and prompted an international incident with Britain by retweeting inflammatory anti-Muslim videos -- demonstrating the limits of a staff that has tried hard to steer him away from volatile territory. ...

To an extent that would stun outsiders, Trump, the most talked-about human on the planet, is still delighted when he sees his name in the headlines. And he is on a perpetual quest to see it there. One former top adviser said Trump grew uncomfortable after two or three days of peace and could not handle watching the news without seeing himself on it.

Stunned. I am stunned that you would refer to Trump as a snowflake. But let's call this progress and welcome you to the fold.

Seriously, though, Trump's obsession with cable news is not healthy. For someone who claims he has tremendous public support, the talking heads on cable TV should be an inconsequential annoyance. He might find a better way to spend his time as the so-called leader of the free world.

When I saw the headline, I assumed it was from the Onion, because they often have headlines that say "Local man regrets choices he made in life" or something similar. I also thought of the classic Simpsons episode featuring Grandpa Abe Simpson shaking his fist at the sky in an unfocused rage. Only instead of yelling at clouds, Trump is yelling at CNN and MSNBC.

Whether out of boredom, disability, lack of a good hobby, or growing anxiety, a lot of old people do spend all day watching cable news. Fox knows this, and is consciously engaging in a psychological game with them by serving up a kind of media comfort food. The cynics who run the network cater to the bitterness that tends to encroach on people who are getting up in years, and it eagerly offers up bogeymen (immigrants, black people, poor people, Mooslims, Democrats, the supposed fake news media) to satisfy their need for someone to blame for everything that causes them discomfort in their dotage.

To people who feel like the world has passed them by and discarded everything they hold dear, Fox (and the Drudge Report, Breitbart, radio talk shows, etc.) the constant chatter about crisis, failure and lies that are portrayed as characteristic of the lefty do-gooders and SJWs offers them comfort that "finally, somebody understands me." This trust relationship between Fox and its viewers, though built on distortion, keeps the viewers coming back and ensures revenue for the network.

From the urban dict.

Snowflake
A term used to describe extremist liberals that get offended by every statement and/or belief that doesn't exactly match their own. These individuals think they are just as "unique" as snowflakes, when really their feelings are just as fragile.

Snowflake
Referring to someone, usually the Alt-Right, Yiannopoulos, And Nazi Sympathizers (A.K.A. ARYANS), whose immense white fragility causes a meltdown when confronted with the most minute deviation from orthodox White Supremacy. They often cry bloody murder when expected to give the most modest expression of basic human decency.

This is all a continuation of how Snowflake historically refers to people who are against the abolition of slavery.

The ARYANS have attempted to hijack this term to use against progressives and those opposing Fascism. It failed ultimately, because nobody was foolish enough to believe anti-Fascist resisters to be, by any stretch of the imagination, comparable to the snowflakery of the ARYANs and their cheeto-dusted Fuhrer.

But the ARYANS succeeded in poisoning the well on calling people "snowflakes," when it became widely understood that they were using it as a euphemism for the human ashes falling in Nazi Germany when they were burning people. This revelation became particularly useful for decoding the ARYAN tendency of referring to snowflakes as a "Generation." Especially telling is the pseudo-concept of a Snowflake Generation, which operates as a front for the ARYANS' need to mark out groups of people to direct their genocidal lust towards.

Yeah, we get it. See, I was reversing it to apply to your boy Trump, who can't seem to make it through the day without affirmation from large crowds of sycophants. If that ain't a snowflake, I don't know what is.

Has been cracking me up when conservatives try to keep using "snowflake" to insult liberals. They lost that fight when they went ballistic because of a couple of football players kneeling. Can't have their "safe space" violated, right?

Good try making the definition include "liberal" to try not being hoisted on your own petard. But the problem is they fact you did that makes it kinda obvious that you already know that the biggest snowflakes are conservatives.

Football attendance has never been better prior to this snowstorming for social justice, amirite? Normal people have awoke to the crybaby nonsense on both sides.

And we have read 1984 and know that news is doubleplus fake.

Really ask yourself as an American - why is the amount of tv that potus watches even worth my time, let alone minutes on a national network??

Grow the hell up america/snowflake
