Kurt Bardella: President Trump and the Republican National Committee are endorsing, supporting and funding [Roy] Moore because they would rather elect a sexual predator who preys on underage teenagers at the local mall, than a crime-fighting prosecutor who happens to be a Democrat. This is not a party I want to be associated with any longer. This is not a party that is trustworthy enough to protect innocent children from sexual predators. ... The embrace of Moore by the Republican Party's top "leadership" is all the proof you need to know that this is a party that no longer stands for anything.

I am throwing in with the Democratic Party because at the end of the day, I believe its portrait of America is better than the one being painted by today's Republican Party. And I want to be a part of it.

Kurt Bardella is a former spokesperson for Reps. Brian Bilbray (R-Calif.), Darrell Issa (R-Calif.), Sen. Olympia Snowe (R-Maine), the House Oversight & Government Reform Committee, and Breitbart News.

I wish more Republicans would shake off their unconditional love for the party that has been on the wrong side of history for my entire lifetime.

ReganCo mocking the AIDS quilt was my personal wake-up to distinguish the two parties we unfortunately have to choose from. Even as a child, witnessing the cruelty, debasement and ridicule of dying people on television just confirmed those authorities views toward homosexuals. I grew up in an age of abject fear of gay people that was sponsored by Evangelicals, Republicans and conservatives. It could be nicer world for everyone if ex-President George Bush would have offered to time-travel and murder both baby Christ and baby Hitler, imo. More probably not, I read that both of them were gay.

Not to hijack the thread, but this is a well-made compilation of 80's politics regarding AIDS: Reagan Administration's Chilling Response to the AIDS Crisis.

It will likely come to pass the Republican Party will become two parties. The non-Trump people will abandon the GOP and either become a third party or join the Democrats. Of course, the Democrats, unable to shed their corporatist image, will similarly split. That the United States will become politically fractured like has happened in many European countries is far from unimaginable. This is also far from a bad thing!

That would be great. It would result in the right wing corporate party, the right wing insane/bigot party, the left wing corporate party, and the left wing populist party. If america can't see the smart choice between those 4, we deserve the fate we get.
