New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie on Wednesday said that he was fired from President Donald Trump's transition team after he opposed Trump's decision to appoint Michael Flynn as national security adviser. "I thought it was a significant reason," Christie said at a press conference, according to Politico. "Suffice to say, I had serious misgivings, which I think have been confirmed by the fact that he pled guilty to a felony in federal court," Christie added, per Politico.

And Trump also blew off Obama's warning. You reap what you sow.

Trump was warned about flynn by obama, by christie, and by sally yates.

He was just fine with hiring a national security advisor everyone was telling him had been compromised by the russians.

He only fired flynn when the press found out about it.

Trump is a russian puppet, and republicans are all traitors for letting him keep the oval office.

This makes it sound like Christie still wanted the job after he knew trump was dumb enough to work with Flynn.

The fact that he prosecuted Jared Kushner's father waasn't part of the reason? Secondly, as Gov. of NJ, how did that give Christie inside knowledge about Flynn? Christie is a slime ball, there could have been lots of reasons for Trump to not want him around. This sounds to me like sour grapes.

Crisco is vainly struggling to stay relevant somehow someway these days.

It is sad.

Christie can apparently tell the difference between plausible deniability and the other kind.

Something he probably learned when he couldn't plausibly deny TrafficGate any more.

Of course he still wanted a job. In fact, as part of the transition team, a former prosecutor himself and a Trump loyalist I think he fully expected to be appointed Attorney General.

This Christie situation reminds me of some wise advise I got early in my career. NEVER TELL YOUR BOSS SOMETHING HE DOESN'T WANT TO KNOW.

Christie, although a snake in the grass himself, probably thought he was doing the right thing (plus a little brown nosing). He just didn't know Trump very well.

They were gonna fire him because he is a nothing but a narcissistic, fat, lazy, and corrupt slob but they didn't want to steal Trump's thunder.

Seems like prosecuting Jared Kushners dad all those years ago may have done him in as well.
