So Peter Strzok wasn't just a top investigator for special counsel Robert Mueller until he was axed for anti-Trump and pro-Clinton bias: He was also a major player in the Hillary email probe and the FBI work that led to the "collusion" investigation. That's huge, because the statute specifies that gross negligence in the handling of classified info is itself a crime, whatever the intent -- though Comey declared that Clinton shouldn't face prosecution precisely because she had no "intent" to break the law.

Strzok also conducted the FBI interviews of Clinton and her top aides, Cheryl Mills and Huma Abedin, in the email probe.

More, he was reportedly one of the major FBI figures urging investigations on the basis of the "Steele dossier" of Russian-sourced scurrilous anti-Trump allegations, which we now know was commissioned by the Clinton campaign.

After years of Benghazi accusations and trials I'd say the GOP can put up with some Russian collusion investigations.

Why don't you stop worrying so much about your boy Donnie. If he's as innocent as you want him to be then there's nothing to be worried about.

Speaking of partisan ----. Your whole article is a hit piece on the Clintons.

Shocking.

But he's not innocent, is he? The man's been dirty as sin for years and years. The nation now needs to know exactly how dirty. And because it does, Russia and money-laundering need to be chased down to whatever end, no matter how bitter for the most unpleasant man on planet Earth.

Well it's nice to know where JeffJ got today's talking point.

"More, he was reportedly one of the major FBI figures urging investigations"

Reportedly?

I thought you Russian pee pee drinkers didn't like that word.

So a supposed anti-Trump investigator getting the axe from the investigation is evidence of partisanship?

That is some championship level willful stupidity there.

#7 | Posted by truthhurts at 2017-12-06 08:30 PM | Reply | Newsworthy 3

It looks bad, obviously. However, no evidence exists that Strzok was anything other than professional in his conduct.

#8 | Posted by JeffJ at 2017-12-06 09:08 PM | Reply | Newsworthy 2

The only one claiming it looks bad are morons who think removing someone who is supposedly anti-trump from the investigation is evidence of anti-Trump partisanship.

which we now know was [partly] (or "significantly" at most) commissioned by the Clinton campaign.

Ignoring the Republican tie to the Dossier truly undermines the legitimacy of the article.

Bad? Yes.

Desperate? Double yes.

The right is looking for anything, no matter how thin, to explain away this investigation.

Given their penchant for doing exactly what they criticize others for, I see this as an admission of guilt in the case of Clinton witch hunts over the past 30 some odd years.

Why did my story change without being sent to the front page first? And why does top part repeat the first sentence twice?

Here is what the top part originally said:

So Peter Strzok wasn't just a top investigator for special counsel Robert Mueller until he was axed for anti-Trump and pro-Clinton bias: He was also a major player in the Hillary email probe and the FBI work that led to the "collusion" investigation.

And Mueller and the FBI both dragged their feet on sharing key info about all this with Congress.

Including the news that Strzok was the one who changed then-FBI chief Jim Comey's draft language on Clinton's use of that private server from "grossly negligent" to "extremely careless" in the final version.

Yeah, I'm going to download some anti-virus software and run a scan. Other things have been happening to me today. This isn't normal.

Yeah, I just use Windows Defender and make it a point never to download things. So I tried Malware Bytes and some stuff from Hiram's, but they all came up negative.

That was really weird, but I distinctly remember not typing that.

Reptoids. Gotta be.

Helium,

I'm sure you know you download something in the background just going to websites. Any website.

I use MacAfee. It has a pretty good browser scanner.

"I use MacAfee. It has a pretty good browser scanner."

My daughter's computer had McAfee installed, slowed it to a crawl. I removed it, that was a nightmare all by itself, and improved the speed back to normal. Then I installed Avast for free and everything is good.

Helium is right, if you have Windows 10 the built in stuff is good enough. (Provided it's turned on!)

If you want to browse skeevy porn sites, boot off USB and run your computer off a RAMdisk so when you're... "done" and you turn it off everything gets, uh, "wiped."

There is really no way to safely navigate the scary parts of the Internet on a Windows box without risk of compromise. So don't do it kids!

Actually Helium, you put several names in your story that would definitely generate a flag at a particular agency and I'm sure their scanning everything you do, read, eat, post, etc. as they try to determine whose side you should be one and why you're not.

The biggest problem is the compare/contrast between how the FBI handled the Hillary email investigation and this investigation. But, that's on Obama. HIs comments made it very clear to all involved that he wasn't going to let the Hillary thing amount to anything.

#24 | Posted by JeffJ at 2017-12-08 06:01 PM | Reply

The Hillary investigation was going on for to long so it was time to shut it down.

Wing ding logic.
