Washington (CNN)President Donald Trump recognized Jerusalem as Israel's capital on Wednesday and announced plans to relocate the US Embassy there, a move expected to inflame tensions in the region and unsettle the prospects for peace. "I have determined that it is time to officially recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel," Trump said from White House's Diplomatic Reception Room. "After more than two decades of waivers, we are no closer to a lasting peace agreement between Israel and the Palestinians." The move signaled a willingness on Trump's part to prioritize fulfilling a campaign promise over the consensus among US allies in the region and beyond that the decision could stymie the peace process and increase security risks in a region that is already on edge.

This will probably lead to another mess that a future Dem POTUS will have to clean up while Repubs throw their hands up and say "we had no idea!".

This is huge news. The repercussions will be enormous. As an American, I would stay out of the ME right now. The level of anger and violence towards Americans is about to escalate. Trump is a self absorbed fool.

This was basically throwing a rock for no reason.
That being said, what does that say for arabs that we all know they're going to act like violent babies?

I don't care where any other country has an embassy nor do I care if a Turk recognizes Toronto as the capital of the USA.
The fact we all assume they'll react violently says all you need to know about those mutts.
We are good at violence though, so basically these self destructive mutts will get all sorts of blown up when they predictably get violent.

It is a 'Dick Move' intended to provoke a violent reaction. Trump and 101, and BOAZ will then point and say "see, we told you them Muzzies were all violent maniacs, lets go kill us some Muzzies! Yeehaw!"

Trump will then go all sanctimonious and tell the world we are in a religious war for the survival of "christianity", cause if we cant make the determination where the Capitol of some other region is gonna be, the Terrorists win."

WTF is the USA doing trying to declare where another region's Capital is located?

Do you know how to read?

The chief dispute revolves around the legal status of East Jerusalem, while broader agreement exists regarding future Israeli presence in West Jerusalem.[2] De jure, the majority of UN member states and most international organisations do not recognise Israel's ownership of East Jerusalem which occurred after the 1967 Six-Day War, nor its 1980 Jerusalem Law proclamation, which declared a "complete and united" Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.[4] As a result, foreign embassies are generally located in Tel Aviv and its suburbs.

They have claimed that since 1980. Pull your head out old.

The Senate voted 90-0 on a resolution marking the 50th anniversary of Jerusalem's reunification. The measure includes language that "calls upon the president and all United States officials to abide by" a 1995 law that urged then-President Bill Clinton to move the U.S. Embassy to Jerusalem.

Yes, Dem Senators voted for it, too. Here's one now:

SCHUMER CALLS FOR U.S. EMBASSY IN ISRAEL TO BE MOVED TO JERUSALEM; SENATOR SAYS WE HAVE WAITED TOO LONG; URGES ACTION TO MAKE CLEAR THE U.S. COMMITMENT TO MOVE EMBASSY

What I can't figure out is how anything Trump says remains relevant, in my opinion the world in general puts to much truck in what the "President of the USA" says...world leaders need to come out and state that as long as Trump is in the White House that anything uttered forth is moot, because under his rule, the USA is irrelevant as well, not the leader of the "Free World".
