But Go Badgers, Go Clemson Tigers, Go Auburn Tigers, Go Sooners. Shut the Tide of tears down lol.

One down 3 to go!

So, Pinky-poo, your plan didn't work. The Tide is back in contention. Let's review.

1) Last year, the committee picked OSU over conference champion Penn St. Let's not gloss over this fact. The committee giveth and the committee taketh away. Apparently, the conference championship only has symbolic meaning.

2) No one denies that Clemson, Georgia and Oklahoma deserve to be there. How would people feel if the committee picked Bama over Georgia? No, it wouldn't be right. The committee can atone for that mistake last year by keeping OSU out this year. No one thinks they could defeat any of those other three teams, or Alabama.

3) OSU's loss to Iowa was HUGE. The next week after defeating OSU, Iowa went on to lose with 60-something yards of total offense. Everyone with a tiny bit of knowledge knew that OSU was going to defeat Wisconsin, because Wisc. was only undefeated because they played a very weak schedule. Result, OSU is out.

4) Bama's loss to Auburn was ugly too. However, the way Georgia played and with Bama's injuries, Georgia would probably have beaten Alabama in the SEC championship, had Bama gone there. However, it is a month until the CFP games and everyone knows that by that time, Bama will be healed and no one could beat them.

Result---

The committee should not pick either team. They should pick the Pac-12 winner USC. Who cares if no one watches the game?

The playoff will be 8 teams soon.

When, not if, the #8 spot isn't clear a few times it will go to 16.

And so on.

Since Ohio's win is illegitimate (bad call by the refs) I predict Alabama will be in.

Stupid Wisconsin screwed my plan up... Lmao jerks.

Lmao they won't do that. End of the day it's all about the money so that's a no go.

If your going there though it should be UCF not USC.

Alabama's best wins are against LSU, Mississippi State and Fresno State. Ohio State, meanwhile, has two top-10 wins (Wisconsin and Penn State), as well as one against No. 16 Michigan State.

Alabama needed Auburn to win. For a for sure lock in the 4th spot.

Idk how they will pick and I don't like either team so.... I'll take a stab at guessing and say they pick Alabama because more people would watch a Clemson vs Alabama game....

It will be Ohio State, for a coupla reasons.

1st because of the quality wins/division and conference championship stuffs outlined in #6.

2nd, no fans travel like tOSU's

That said, as a group they are the worst fans of any sport at any level.

Raiders fans, on line #1.

The people that Bama beat would have been top tens teams if Bama hadn't beat them (LSU, Ms. St.).

LSU even beat auburn.

Another year of end-of-year CFB drama. Clemson with the repeat!

In other news: FSU has yet another winning record and 35th bowl game consecutive seasons, running from 1982 to 2016. The longest bowl appearance streak in CFB history.

If Bama is in the CFP, they will win it! Mark it down. They will have time to get all the injuries healed. Clemson only won last year because the officials did not call the pick play penalty on the last play.

I notice they are definitely calling that illegal play this year.

Been a long season for FSU. I hate it that Jimbo is leaving there. I like him but don't want to root for TA&M.

I hate it too. Jimbo was treated very poorly this year by the Boosters/AD for the cyclical down year (primarily due to injuries). Jimbo's tenure was significant for the 'Noles and I anticipated him, as Bowden's understudy, to have a similar long coaching legacy at the program. While it is not a similar "hotseat" level of Texas/top SEC programs, it seems that Tallahassee is a tough place for a coach - a number of coaches have had divorces while at FSU (including Fisher).

Many of my Nole friends say good riddance, but I wish him well at Texas A&M, and am hoping for the best/expecting the worst as the 'Noles search for a new HC.

For the #4 spot, it's official now.

The Crimson Tide. Sorry, fishpaw. That OSU loss at Iowa by 31 points was what kept them out.
