Charlie and the Manson family have been frequent subjects of my inquiries over the years.

Probably third behind Lincoln assassination and JFK.

That's a shame. I was hoping for him to rot in prison for a few more years.

When we moved to CA in the late 60's, my dad took us out sightseeing in the family station wagon. We ended up on a dirt road in Chatsworth and all these hippies approached our car, which freaked my mom out. We turned around and got out of there and were told later it was probably the Manson family. Not sure if they were, but the time and place were about right.

As a side note, southern CA before they paved over everything was awesome.

Since he's dying anyway, I think they should cut him a little and poor salt on the wounds. give a taste of what Sharon and the others felt.
Would that be wrong?

Could have been any number of hippyish cults. Fountain of Life is still big in the Chatsworth area.

#10. Possibly. Thousand Oaks in the 60's was great. The Gunsmoke set was still up. The Charlie news just brought back some old memories.
