People with a history of "self-mutilation," bipolar disorder, depression and drug and alcohol abuse can now seek waivers to join the Army under an unannounced policy enacted in August, according to documents obtained by USA Today. ... [A]ccepting recruits with those mental health conditions in their past carries risks, according to Elspeth Ritchie, a psychiatrist who retired from the Army as a colonel in 2010 and is an expert on waivers for military service. People with a history of mental health problems are more likely to have those issues resurface than those who do not, she said. "It is a red flag," she said. "The question is, how much of a red flag is it?"

Facing a severe shortage of recruits willing to line up to fight on the whim of a president who has shown little if any regard for their safety, the Army lifted a ban on waivers for people with serious documented mental health conditions.

Holy crap! I had a guy in my squad who played with barbie dolls as a kid, and kept something that looked like a fishing-tackle box full of a wide variety of pills in his wall locker. He got medically discharged for being a psycho. He couldn't actually make friends, for instance, and he lasted maybe two weeks in my squad.

The only person he would ever talk about was his mother.

Yeah, this will end well.

That is not a "serious mental health condition."

That you think it is, however, indicates that you might have a serious mental condition.

Seek help as soon as possible.

An irrational hatred of transgender people IS a serious mental disorder

Being a transgender person is not a mental disorder at all

If you were smart enough you'd recognize your condescension.

But, you're clearly not smart enough even for that.

That is interesting.

I don't hate you either.

But, if I was smart enough I would want to help you learn to deal with your obvious mental illness and help you become a better more compassionate person with less suffering and more happiness in your life.

Facing Shortage, Army Allowing Bipolar Recruits

And those who aren't already insane, will have their brains broken intentionally in basic training. Same as it ever was.

And trump is the result of 30 years of republican propaganda. Start fighting against that on all levels. Until decent republicans stand up for ethics and facts, the whole party gets the blame for everything that results from trump.

He's not just an anomaly. Yall MADE him possible.

It's going to be weird seeing the extinction of transgenderism in our lifetimes through gene editing.

I cannot wait for the day where alt-right/Nazi types (you know the ones that love Fox News, Breitbart, etc etc) to go extinct via gene editing. The world will be a much better place!

"self-mutilation," bipolar disorder, depression and drug and alcohol abuse are mild conditions compared to the homicidal maniacs running the Military.
