Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News

A while back I figured out a trick for using Twitter as a tool to find out what sorts of things establishment loyalists really don't want me saying. Once I discover a really hot button, I write an article that bangs on that button as hard as possible. One of those buttons is expressing my certainty that Robert Mueller's investigation will never, ever find any proof that Trump colluded with Russia to steal the 2016 election using hackers and propaganda.

We are not allowed to say such things. If you debate a Russiagater for any length of time and you know how to debunk their assertions, they always, always, always wind up resorting to a "just you wait until Mueller finishes his investigation" declaration, which from my point of view is the same as debating a fundamentalist Christian whose argument boils down to "Well I'll be proven right when you die and God sends you to Hell!"

You can always feel right if you kick the can around some corner in the future that can't be seen and analyzed critically. Luckily for us, we've got information that we can look at right now which does not require any religious faith.

I don't know if Mueller will be able to prove it or not.

But the comparison to religion is poor considering we don't know if Mueller has all the information and it's quite possible that Mueller doesn't have all the information.

However, the material supporting the existence of God has been complete and pored over for centuries. Everything since is rehashing the same old stuff.

That article is ---- and the author looks about as trollish as I'd expect.

#2 So... you have the evidence? Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence, not zero evidence. But the MSM (and most people here) treat it all like a proven. About 94% of MSM media stories on Trump are anti-Trump. You can't see the bias?

This rumor started when Hillary paid $3 million for the Trump Dossier and leaked it to the press. Nothing in the dossier is provable, but that's how Hillary started the Russia-Trump collusion narrative. Three weeks later, she claimed the Russians hacked the DNC's email to expose her corruption. But there is no evidence for that at all. The FBI didn't even get to examine the servers. You know what the evidence was? Hillary hired CrowdStrike, a security firm run by an anti-Putin Russian, to examine the servers. In one day, they determined it was the Russians. But the only evidence they have presented is a virus written in English that they found that didn't have access to the e-mail system.

Like WMD's in Iraq, Russia-gate is easy to see through if you don't get caught up in media hysteria.

you have the evidence?

Of course not. For those acting like it's already proven they're being stupid and letting their wishful thinking bias their view.

On the flip side, those who have an adamant view that it's nothing are equally foolish.

Which is true of the Troll's screed you posted (hope she doesn't cut herself on all that edge).

Like WMD's in Iraq, Russia-gate is easy to see through if you don't get caught up in media hysteria.

Yawn sure.

I'm sure you're a genius too, just no one sees it.

#4 There is a massive media campaign going on to impeach Trump with zero evidence. Started by Hillary. How is that not different from the WMD thingy Cheney and his friends started and used Bush and the MSM to promote?

Really? How do you figure that?

#7 Read #3.

Also, do some Yahoo searches - it doesn't blacklist independent journalists like google does.

But here is a good story posted today: www.washingtonexaminer.com

HELIUMRAT

I did read #3 and saw that you and "they" were doing a lot of suppositioning. Show me some definitive proof that doesn't involve "If rumors are true," innuendo or worse yet (similar to the Downing Street memo) facts were being fit around policy.

#9 I have yet to read anything other than "if rumors are true" stories coming out about Russia-gate. There more you look into it, the more it looks like Hillary started the whole thing and it might actually be a smokescreen for Hillary's corruption.

"Accuse your opponent of what only you are doing, as you are doing it, to create confusion" - Saul Alinsky, "Rules for Radicals".

In 1969, Hillary Rodham wrote a 92-page senior thesis for Wellesley College about community organizer Saul Alinsky entitled "There Is Only the Fight . . . : An Analysis of the Alinsky Model."

But have decided to pass off your opinion as concrete fact anyways?

Meaning you understand that the posted link and all your comments regarding it are pulled directly from some collective ass somewhere?

"Accuse your opponent of what only you are doing, as you are doing it, to create confusion" - Saul Alinsky, "Rules for Radicals".

Oh God, now I know you're not worth listening to.

Why not just admit you're a Trump humper and drop the facade?

Like when Trumplestiltskin takes to Twitter and demands an investigation into Hillary's collusion with Russia over the dossier?

So high ranking members of the campaign were under FISA surveillance (Manafort and Page) as early as 2014 (even used a "real news" site for you) and we have reams of info regarding meetings with the Russians that involved proposed quid pro quos...but this is all just a Hillary-pushed scheme to get back at Trump?

LOL I love it when people over complicate reality just to feel smart.

Congress votes to increase sanctions on Russia overwhelmingly, Trump signs, calls it Congressional overreach and won't implement the new sanctions.

Trump publicly calls his security agencies liars and time after time sucks Putin's ---- publicly saying he believes his denials about Russian meddling despite every security agency and Congress saying they improperly meddled in the election.

Trump consistently calls for easing sanctions on Russia.

Yep, Trump is Putin's bitch.

#13 JPW, you do know that Manafort and Page where just corrupt DC critters long before they wormed their way into a brief stint with Trump, right? Under no circumstances does this prove Russia-gate. What are you even taking about?

It is you who is seriously over-complicating reality. I guess I'm going to have to work on a ray-gun that can simplify reality, but I have to head into work in about an hour. However, I will think about it. It sounds like a pretty cool project.

#14 You do know that is entirely because the Hillary narrative is a lie, right?

you do know that Manafort and Page where just corrupt DC critters long before they wormed their way into a brief stint with Trump, right?

So? When you have an aggregation of "corrupt DC critters" of a particular type working for a campaign, isn't it reasonable to assume their consistent sliminess isn't a coincidence?

Under no circumstances does this prove Russia-gate.

You're the only one talking about proof. Do you not even remember the posts on this thread a mere 15 posts ago?

What are you even taking about?

It's not hard. Seriously, this isn't difficult.

It is you who is seriously over-complicating reality.

LOL following Alinksy now, are we?

That's what Fox News does. It simplifies reality into simplistic alternative facts.

Nothing has changed since Mueller was appointed, at that time it was clear that Manafort and Flynn were going down for their lobbying without registering as foreign agents.

Mueller needs to find a causal link between Flynn/Manafort and their activities on behalf of Russia or its surrogates and Trump himself (or a member of his inner circle) that shows a conspiracy to commit a criminal act...conjecture and supposition are not enough to bring down a POTUS. He is obviously not there, or the leaks in his investigation would have already trumpeted it.

He may still get there but the likelihood of getting that link depends on what, if anything, he can get out of Manafort, Gates or the Flynns.

POSTED BY HELIUMRAT

Your argument comes down to:
1) I don't believe it.
2) Mueller hasn't shown collusion yet so there must not be any.

Refusing to acknowledge the scores of evidence, testimony, etc. does not debunk any arguments.

Mueller Immediately Closes Investigation After Hearing Putin Proclaim His Innocence

"For the past several months, we've assembled tax records, cell-phone recordings, bank transfers, and e-mail communications that indicated Russia was involved in the election," a visibly shaken Mueller said. "Somehow, we got it wrong -- very, very wrong."

As for his future plans, Mueller said that his first order of business was to write a hearfelt letter of apology to Putin.

"I feel terrible knowing that I've spent all this time investigating a person who did absolutely nothing wrong," he said. "Hindsight is 20/20, but I really should have called him first and asked him what really happened."

" Dem's screaming Russia! well into 2020."

That sounds vaguely familiar, like a voice from the past. Only what I heard was the Repubs screaming "BENGHAZI."

Does that ring any bells for you?

Careful Twin, last time I made that comparison I was shouted down by the Usual Suspects on the DR Left and accused of being whatever the "Coddler" du jour was on that day.

But you are more correct than I think you realize.

You can only eat so many Nothingburgers before you are stuffed.

Helium can still do it somehow..

I think the H-Rat goes into the bathroom and makes himself puke so he can make room to eat more Nothingburgers without getting full.

Because apparently the H-Rat just loves himself some Nothingburger.
