Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News
Saturday, November 11, 2017

President Trump told reporters on Air Force One that he believes Vladimir Putin's denials about election meddling, and doesn't want to press further because he thinks the U.S. and Russia can work together on issues that include North Korea, Syria and Ukraine. Why it matters: American intelligence agencies, including the CIA, NSA, FBI and the ODNI (Office of the Director of National Intelligence) are unified in their opinion that Russia actively worked to meddle in the election.

Reporter: Did Russia's attempts to meddle in US elections come up in the conversations?

Trump: He said he didn't meddle, he said he didn't meddle. I asked him again. You can only ask so many times.

Reporter: Today?

Trump: "I just asked him again. He said he absolutely did not meddle in our election, he did not do what they are saying he did."

Reporter: Do you believe him?

Trump: "Well, look, I can't stand there and argue with him, I would rather have him get out of Syria, I would rather get to work with him on the Ukraine rather than arguing about whether or not ... that whole thing was set up by the Democrats. Look at Podesta, look at all the things that they have done with the phony dossier. Those are the big events. But Putin said he did not do what they said he did. But we have a good feeling toward getting things done."

Doc, why do you keep posting stuff like this? The Russians spent $100,000 on Facebook ads (Hillary spent $1.2 billion on her campaign), and the Russian ads didn't even make sense. $30,000 of that was spent on an ad urging Obama to stay in office. And most of the rest was like "the PuppyDogPage", which turned out to be exactly what it sounds like.

And Putin probably didn't even approve it. It sounds more like IRA research projects into internet penetration than an actual concerted attempt to throw an election (for $100,000?)

Sad day in America when we have a President who is owned by the Russian President.
Not saying it to make a joke but Trump actually is Putin's bitch. For that he should be impeached.

Does anyone really think that Pres Putin will admit to the subversive activities he commands?

The activities have been quite successful in fulfilling his goals (worldwide, not just in the US), so why would he admit to doing it?

Putin's having some fun putting pressure on Trump at this point:

Putin: Trump did not bring up election meddling

President Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin did not discuss alleged election meddling on Saturday, despite Trump saying they did, according to Putin's office.

"No," Putin's press secretary Dmitri Peskov told CNN when asked, "as far as you know, did the two leaders discuss meddling?"

No, I think Trump is putting pressure on Trump because of his own stupidity. Putin's press secretary simply told the truth. Trump lied... again.

Know why? After telling Donald that Russia didn't meddle in our election when they met at the last summit, Putin then told him to never bring up the subject again.

You know damn well they did a lot more than just spend $100,000 on Facebook ads. From the hacking of the DNC to spreading fake news stories to possibly colluding with the Trump campaign itself. There's even the possibility that certain agents of the Russian government were involved in the campaign.

You're the same type a person who goes after the Clintons for the most minor details and most tenuous connections.

During an event at the Riverside Theater in downtown Milwaukee, Clinton was never asked and did not explain why she didn't visit Wisconsin during the fall campaign. She was the first major party candidate to skip the Badger State in decades.

Instead, she blamed the FBI, voter ID laws, President Trump's campaign strategy, and Russian election interference for her loss. The near-sellout crowd -- which hadn't seen Clinton since before Wisconsin's presidential primary in April 2016 -- cheered often.

Nobody commented on John McCain's letter?

STATEMENT BY SASC CHAIRMAN JOHN McCAIN ON PRESIDENT TRUMP'S COMMENTS ABOUT VLADIMIR PUTIN
Nov 11 2017

Washington, D.C. -- U.S. Senator John McCain (R-AZ), Chairman of the Senate Armed Services Committee, released the following statement today on President Trump's comments about Vladimir Putin:

"President Trump today stated that he believed Vladimir Putin is being sincere when he denies Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election and reiterated that he hopes to cooperate with Russia in Syria.

"There's nothing ‘America First' about taking the word of a KGB colonel over that of the American intelligence community. There's no ‘principled realism' in cooperating with Russia to prop up the murderous Assad regime, which remains the greatest obstacle to a political solution that would bring an end to the bloodshed in Syria. Vladimir Putin does not have America's interests at heart. To believe otherwise is not only naive but also places our national security at risk."

Let us summarize our findings Trump is an incompetent liar, Putin is a rational liar with a history of vile behavior as a KGB agent unaccountable to anybody or anything and the CIA is led by prolific liars with a history of vile behavior equal in every way to the KGB including being unaccountable to anybody or anything. It is worth noting that everyone in the CIA is not a mean liar, but those are the only kind on top.

"Trump knows why Hillary lost the election."

And that is exactly why Kris Kobach was put in charge of the national voter suppression agency.

"NEW HAMPSHIRE is a small state whose biggest residential college and university campuses are dominated by out-of-state students -- tens of thousands of them. Under New Hampshire law, they are entitled to vote in state elections, an unremarkable and widely known fact that easily explains why several thousand ballots were cast there last November by voters who registered on Election Day using out-of-state driver's licenses.

Yet to Kris Kobach, the de facto head of President Trump's commission on voting integrity, those votes are somehow "proof" that an invading horde of out-of-staters took advantage of the Granite State's same-day registration law to cast "fraudulent votes." In fact, there's no evidence of that.

The real fraud is Mr. Kobach himself, Kansas's Republican secretary of state and a gubernatorial candidate, who will torture any truth, distort any data and fudge any fact in service to his long-standing goal of suppressing votes, specifically those likely to favor Democrats. Having established himself in his home state as a propagandist, he is now peddling his claptrap on the national stage."

www.washingtonpost.com

It is the conspiracy (not theory but fact) which no one wants to talk about.

"And you and yours can spin this anyway you want to make Trump look bad."

Not a lot of "spin" required.

Just repeat what Trump says and then show the video.

Trump does all the work of making himself look bad.

Then here you Trumpsters come along to try and explain what he "meant".

"He didn't say any of the things that your propaganda wing says he did. He made no mention of our intelligence agencies."

Did the Intelligence agencies say Putin meddled?

Did Trump side with Putin? Trump is acting very unpatriotic.

And besides... who "asks" if a criminal committed a crime? Who "asks" if a hostile foreign power attacked us? You don't ask. You tell them you know they did it, you show them the evidence and you tell them what the consequences are....then see what they say about it.

Trump is displaying his ignorant weakness to the world.

SAD.

HeRat is correctly putting our Russia problem in perspective without getting to the heart of the Democrats problem. Their consistent refusal to address the reality of the situation for unskilled workers now in the United States. Democrats must get over their loss and put together some real proposals which will lift the standard of living for the 99%. But the only people going there are Sanders and Warren. Trump went there too, but he is living lies and nothing more.

Yes, Corky, I accept the content of your link. But it should be put into historical context. Hillary is responsible for the destruction of Libya. The Clintons did more to deconstruct the New Deal (in cooperation with Republicans) than Reagan or any other Republican could ever dream of. We are now witness to how much blowback the Republicans experience whenever they blatantly attack the working class. Equally troubling is that many of Hillary's best platform ideas emerged only after Sanders made the Democratic primary competitive. She merely copied Sanders, a common Democratic ploy against all third party contenders.
