Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News

Almost immediately after Hillary Clinton campaign emails were hacked, Russians turned to Donald Trump -- and not his Republican opponents -- to try to use the documents against her. A professor with ties to the Russian government contacted Trump campaign adviser George Papadopoulos in April 2016 to tell him Russians had "dirt" on Clinton in the form of "thousands of emails," according to records released Monday. ... "That conversation took place before the American people were even aware that emails had in fact been stolen by the Russian government from both Clinton campaign officials as well as the Democratic National Committee," said Rep. Adam Schiff of California, the top Democrat on the House Intelligence Committee.

In July 2016 candidate Trump said, "Russia, if you're listening, I hope you're able to find the 30,000 emails that are missing," (www.nytimes.com) So I have to ask ... in July 2016 when candidate Trump asked Russia for help in finding the missing emails, did he know of what had transpired in April 2016?

Yes, he knew.

Trump will start playing the part of a desperate man shortly. Won't even be the first time this year.

He knew that that Russia had hacked the DNC months before that information was made public.

He knew because Don Jr told his dad and that is probably the "dirt" that the Russians were offering when don Jr colluded, er, met with them.

He may have even had them in his possession since then but could not use them until they were released to the public.

And the day they were released he immediately started his rage rants about them and how much he loved Wikileaks (like he had known all along and had his script all prepared).

I don't disagree with any of this, but looking at it from a prosecutors standpoint, conjecture doesn't get you a conviction, there has to be concrete evidence of a causal link.

That link is exactly what Mueller is looking for and if he finds it, then the pressure on the GOP members whose seats are threatened will increase to start considering Articles of Impeachment.

I agree. We are still in the early stages of this investigation, i.e., the end of the beginning not the beginning of the end.

Donny knew everything, as he was a big puppet of Putin. And Obama did a big mistake of not wire tapping Trump, as there would have been a direct video/Audio to Putin directly.

Actually, it's been far less than a year for Mueller. And the Nixon investigation took years.

Go back to playing with your dolls and leave commenting for people who know how to read.

Yeah, Obama should have taken illegal actions to spy on a candidate from the opposing party!!! I know, maybe he should have authorized a break in at Trump headquarters to get information!!!

Wow.

Trump Accuses Clinton of Deliberately Losing Election So He Could Be Impeached

"How could one of the most experienced politicians in history lose to the most unfit candidate ever?" Trump asked reporters.

This raises all sorts of questions. Does Trump actually know anything? Since ignorance of the law is no excuse for breaking the law will a Republican Congress and SCOTUS make an exception for Trump, like they did for Bush? Will Trump sue Mueller for $300 million for loss of business following his indictment?

Remember that day he asked Russia to find the missing 30,000 emails during that press conference? He knew something by then almost certainly.

What it would have taken was a warrant. It seems to me that people tied to the campaign were caught in the wire tapping of foreign agents and given the nature of the leaked intercepted communications that warrant was probably attainable. It would have just played horribly in the public eye.

the saddest thing about this whole ordeal is the long term damage this entire scandal ridden white house will have on the office of the president of the usa.

lol.

still reaching with this bulloney?

why don't you try #realjournalism like the JFK document drop.

this is just a bunch of psychobabble that will go nowhere.

The media should sensationalize deaths from sugar, alcohol and obesity the way they sensationalize hand picked stories.

The only people reaching are deniers like you. It was obvious he was actively working with the Russians back in August 2016 when news of the trump tower / moscow server became known. Anyone that wasn't convinced then was simply not paying attention.
