Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News
Friday, October 27, 2017

President Donald Trump's approval ratings took another hit Wednesday, with a Fox News poll showing the president's numbers are poor even among his white voting base. The president now holds a 38 percent approval rating, down from 42 percent in September, while his disapproval rating climbed four points, to 57 percent, according to the poll. Trump's numbers have steadily declined since his inauguration in January, but his handling of recovery efforts aftger recent natural disasters could be to blame for his numbers hitting an all-time low.

White evangelical Christians and white men without college degrees are no longer supporting the president with the same fervor as they did during the election, when the president won 80 percent and 71 percent of their votes, respectively.

His support among white men without a college degree slid to 56 percent from 68 percent and among and among white evangelical Christians fell to 66 percent from 74 percent, according to the poll.

Experts say Trump's strategy of playing to his core base is alienating some of his supporters and could keep his approval ratings from increasing anytime soon.

Trump's dwindling support may have something to do with voters' lack of trust in the president and his Twitter account.

Fifty-seven percent of voters disapproved of the president's tweets and 30 percent wished he "would be more cautious."

you know how bad you gotta be when you suck on a poll given by a "news" network that kisses your butt on a regular basis.

What percentage of those who claim to still support him are really just those who can't admit they were wrong? That they were stupid. That they allowed racial animosity to get them to vote for a racist? I wouldn't even take the poll if I had voted for Trump, I would be under a rock hoping no one ever reminded me of my vote. But hey, stupid folks, be proud. Wave your MAGA hats, acknowledge that you are proud of being stupid.

These poll numbers support Trump's prediction that we would get tired of all his "winning!".

And man, oh man, are the peeps getting tired of his version of "winning!".

I don't get the 66% evangelical Christians, as this is probably the most immoral POTUS ever.

It's all about appointing conservative judges, who are anti-abortion and anti-LGBT issues for them. Oh, yeah, and making this a Christian nation again, just like the founding fathers intended. It doesn't matter if an immoral president does this; the ends justify the means.

Do you know any Evangelical Christians? I do, they are f*****g --------. I'm not a Christian but I'm more Christian than those SOBs are. They are the farthest things from Christians that it is possible to be. Jesus would not be an Evangelical Christian, he would consider them to be Pharisees. According to the Bible he preached against them.

If FoxNews puts it at 38% I honestly believe an unbiased poll will have it at 35% or 36%.

Every time I try to wrap my head around the fact that an awful human being like Donald Trump is now President I always end up coming back to the bottom line that his opponent was HRC. How could this nation have produced 2 such awful candidates to head the major political parties in the SAME year?

The DNC chose Hillary in 2009 right after Barack was sworn in.

All they care about is abortion. After that he could dump homeless children in the gutter, rape a dozen women, pollute god's whole creation, and give a 10 trillion dollar tax cut to billoinaires and theyd be fine with it.

And they are so eager to enact theocratic policy regarding abortion that they fail to see in practice it will increase the number of abortions performed.

38% just blows my mind.

Way too high.

Probably closer to 25% or less. Fox News / Rasmussen polls are usually skewed 10+ % points or more.

And this is in a time with no major military conflicts and a decent economy.

Tsk tsk.

Wait until donnie dealbreaker kicks it off in a place he can't find on a map.
