Not only had the president not contacted virtually all the families of military personnel killed this year, the White House did not even have an up-to-date list of those who had been killed. The exchange between the White House and the Defense secretary's office occurred about 5 p.m. on Oct. 17. The White House asked the Pentagon for information about surviving family members of all servicemembers killed after Trump's inauguration so that the president could be sure to contact all of them.

In the hours after President Donald Trump said on an Oct. 17 radio broadcast that he had contacted nearly every family that had lost a military servicemember this year, the White House was hustling to learn from the Pentagon the identities and contact information for those families, according to an internal Defense Department email.

The email exchange, which has not been previously reported, shows that senior White House aides were aware on the day the president made the statement that it was not accurate -- but that they should try to make it accurate as soon as possible, given the gathering controversy

#6 Also, you know as well as I do that pedophiles are serial offenders. So where are the other victims?

It wasn't enough for Trump to lie about the calls he made. Oh, no. He had to go further and putdown previous presidents like Bush and Obama. He's always got to claim he's the greatest, the best. I suspect it's because he knows what a fraud and a failure he really is.

Of course not.

Many of the troops on duty in Iraq do not count English as their first language and would prefer to take orders in their native tongue ... usually Spanish.

The revelation has prompted British MP George Galloway, one of the fiercest critics of the invasion of Iraq, to accuse the US of using its "green card" troops as cannon fodder.

Galloway went on to attack the US policy of putting its poor minorities and non-citizens in the frontline of its foreign wars.

In an exclusive interview he told Aljazeera.net that it was part of a long US tradition of using its underclass as cannon fodder.

The statistics, buried by White House spin doctors, reveal that a significant minority of troops fighting under the US banner are not in fact US citizens but residents hoping to speed up their citizenship.
---------------

Using our poor and our non-citizens as disposables has many advantages.

1. We don't need to call their families if the worst happens to them.

2. It's politically cheap. It's not like anyone can complain if we mess up with their lives.

3. There are plenty more where those came from.

4. Most aren't even Americans.

That's effing smart. And disgusting.

Remember the good 'ole days when NFL players where "S.O.B.s disrespecting the military and flag" for peaceably kneeling during the national anthem?

Then what does that make a CIC who publicly ignored the deaths of 4 American soldiers for 10 whole days; mistakenly disrespected a grieving, pregnant wife on her way to meet her husband's remains for the first time; and then lied about both his predecessor's and his own conduct regarding fallen soldiers; then topping it off by having his 4-star COS go before the press corp and world and besmirch the conduct and character of a US Congressperson with provable lies when her only transgression was to answer the questions thrown at her by the press right after the call was finished?

@#9 ... He had to go further and putdown previous presidents like Bush and Obama. ...

Pres Trump seems to think that the only way he can elevate himself is by lowering those around him.
