Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News
Tuesday, October 10, 2017

US President Donald Trump has challenged his Secretary of State, Rex Tillerson, to an IQ test, in the latest sign of discord between the two. He made the remark in a magazine interview when asked about reports that Tillerson had called him a moron. "I think it's fake news," Trump told Forbes, "but if he did that, I guess we'll have to compare IQ tests. And I can tell you who is going to win." Trump is due to have lunch on Tuesday with Tillerson.

... Mr Tillerson had called him a moron. ... I guess we'll have to compare IQ tests. ...

My dictionary (Random House Unabridged) has a dual definition for "moron."

One is "lacking in good judgment," the other is "stupid."

I suspect Sec of State Tillerson may have been thinking about the "lacking in good judgment" sense of the word.

Although the "foolish" secondary sense of "stupid" may apply as well.

It think it likely that Tillerson self-censored what he wanted to call Trump, which is "a narcissistic douche with delusions of god-hood and a remarkable ability to pretend he's not the pet monkey of a foreign power".

But that's just my guess.

I dunno. If the test was in crayon, Lil' Donnie would have a chance.

Tillerson could have a lot of fun with this. My guess is that he will just resign.

We should start a pool to bet on his IQ.

I'll take 72 - 79. If he breaks triple digits I'll admit Indiana was actually the dog's name.

Trump just proved he's a moron by making this challenge. It's a self-inflicted complete humiliation.

If there were an IQ test, Trump would cheat on it.

IQ test, competency test, character test... it wouldn't matter. Trump is so far out of his league he's standing in the parking lot. Which is why he's always punching down at people who's position is theoretically lower than his, but who laugh behind his back at him.

#9 | Posted by Corky at 2017-10-10 02:00 PM | Reply

Trump would never, ever make this assertion unless he knew and had proof his is superior

Sincerely

"I think it's fake news. But if he did that..."

This proves that it actually happened because otherwise he would say it wasn't true. It's not the first time he's talked about IQ tests after being called stupid.

I'd like to see them both take the SATs and ACTs

I bet Trump would be the first ever to score negative on the Writing and language section.

"Donald Trump's IQ obsession, in 22 quotes" - #16 | Posted by Corky at 2017-10-10 02:22 PM

When he was just a kid, Donny Trump came home one day from school with his IQ test results, which were in the low double-digits. He looked thoroughly dejected.

"Don't look so sad," said his father. "IQ tests are like golf scores: The lower the number the better."

And so was born Donald Trump's life-long IQ obsession.

Now the question is, real IQ test or a Facebook one where everyone gets at least a 110?

Just remember that.

The thing about IQ tests is that the number is not an accurate measure like temperature or weight. It is a sliding scale. 100 is set as the median by definition. If everyone is stupid the median will still be 100. IQ can only be used to compare the relative intelligence of people who took the same test at the same time. If you scored 160 on an IQ test and I scored 120 on a different IQ test there is no way to meaningfully compare the two numbers. If the pool who took your test was less intelligent as a whole your 160 IQ could be LOWER than my 120 if my test pool was all more intelligent people

When current IQ tests were developed, the median raw score of the norming sample is defined as IQ 100 and scores each standard deviation (SD) up or down are defined as 15 IQ points greater or less, although this was not always so historically. By this definition, approximately two-thirds of the population scores are between IQ 85 and IQ 115. About 5 percent of the population scores above 125, and 5 percent below 75.

According to Sarah Huckleberry Sandbags lil Donny Two Scoops was just joking. I agree. It was pretty fooking funny he would think his IQ was anywhere near Tillerson's or any Marmoset.

And when Trump loses that contest... Trump can challenge Tillerson to a ------- measuring contest.

It is so refreshing to have a manchild as President and not those stuffy old bureaucrats who actually know what they are doing and who don't know how to have fun like Trump.

There's an awful lot of judgment in this post about a political outsider with no relevant experience who managed to overcome money, media, and the most qualified candidate ever to run and become your President. All while managing to dodge rape & sexual assault court cases, maintain complete secret control of his business empire and collude with Russians while leaving no evidence.

#32 | Posted by Avigdore at 2017-10-11 08:30 AM | Reply

Avigdore- I guess in your world videos, sworn testimony, court documents, and financial transactions are not evidence.

The willful ignorance of Trump supporters is astounding. If you took 100 random prison inmates you would find every one of them got there with less evidence than we have already seen on Trump

Care to share any of those as a cite of Trump colluding with Russia? Admittedly, you may have mistaken the 'leaving no evidence' to refer to the court cases or business empire, which, with my lack of on Oxford comma, is quite understandable. The evidence statement was meant only to modify the Russian collusion.
