Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News

The Trump administration on Friday escalated a battle with government ethics groups by declining to release the identities of individuals visiting with President Trump at his family's Mar-a-Lago resort during the days he has spent at the private club in Palm Beach, Fla., this year. The surprising move by the Department of Justice, which had been ordered in July by a federal court to complete its review of Mar-a-Lago visitor records, came after weeks of promotion by Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington, the liberal nonprofit group known as CREW, that it would soon be getting the Mar-a-Lago visitors logs.

"After waiting months for a response to our request for comprehensive visitor logs from the president's multiple visits to Mar-a-Lago and having the government ask for a last minute extension, today we received 22 names from the Japanese prime minister's visit to Mar-a-Lago and nothing else," [CREW executive director Noah] Bookbinder said in a statement. "The government does not believe that they need to release any further Mar-a-Lago visitor records. We vehemently disagree. The government seriously misrepresented their intentions to both us and the court. This was spitting in the eye of transparency. We will be fighting this in court."

If Trump were to do that, it would destroy the business.
It's not hard to imagine every visitor on the list would be hounded by the propaganda media.

I care about his hotel/golf business every bit as much as he cares about my business.

The business of the president is to be President of the United States.

Here's the visitors list:
-a bunch of 26 handicap suckers who joined the club after the inauguration thinking they could sell uniforms to the military while playing golf with the Don
-Melania's Slovenian friends
-The Grubhub and Orderup guys delivering KFC, Mickey D's and Waffle House to a place with a top notch culinary staff
-Lead tailor Mr. Chen

It was Trump's decision to run for POTUS. Nobody held a gun to his head. As a friend of mine always used to say "you knew the job was dangerous when you took it". It's supposed to be what's good for America, not what's good for Trump's businesses.

He is a narissist, he did not get the Bid for rebuilding UN Building in Newyork in 2000, so once he becomes president he critizes UN for its contribution. He says the Marble floor in UN is a shame. He does not care for the country, EGO FIRST

Where are all the right wingers who whined about Obama's supposed lack of transparency?

They didn't mind when Bush classified everything including the soup of the day at the legislative commissary. They don't mind Trump using private hidden email for his voting commission and hiding the visitors to his private club. They complained Obama limited press access but give Trump a pass over and over again.

When Obama became president. MSNBC began a segment where they announced the soup of the day at the legislative commisary to highlight the fact that it was no longer classified.

I believe they should do a similar segment every morning that Trump does not release the visitors logs. Without visitors logs we cannot know who has Trump's ear.

Why should we know who has Trump's ear? You think this is a democracy or something?
