Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News
Saturday, September 16, 2017

Jeffrey Lewis, Foreign Policy: he Washington Post reported yesterday that North Korea has a large stockpile of compact nuclear weapons that can arm the country's missiles, including its new intercontinental ballistic missiles that are capable of hitting the United States. That's another way of saying: game over. ... The big question is where to go from here. Some of my colleagues still think the United States might persuade North Korea to abandon, or at least freeze, its nuclear and missile programs. I am not so sure. I suspect we might have to settle for trying to reduce tensions so that we live long enough to figure this problem out. But there is only one way to figure out who is right: Talk to the North Koreans.

The other options are basically terrible. There is no credible military option. North Korea has some unknown number of nuclear-armed missiles, maybe 60, including ones that can reach the United States; do you really think U.S. strikes could get all of them? That not a single one would survive to land on Seoul, Tokyo, or New York? Or that U.S. missile defenses would work better than designed, intercepting not most of the missiles aimed at the United States, but every last one of them? Are you willing to bet your life on that?

but we're now living in a world where American power is less relevant than ever.

And liberals across the US cheer ....

Talk to the North Koreans.

How do you think they received the technology?

If you never do another thing this week, just listen to this liar.....

There is no credible military option.

From the "I hate military" crowd, there is never a credible military option. Trust me there are military options.

The issue is that we he US has let NoKo continue developing without ever getting serious, this is the way the US behaves, its benevolent to our disadvantage. From the southern border, to Iran, to NoKo.

The US demise isn't do to organized military violence, its will be due to not backing up its negotiations/treaties with force.

We don't even protect our borders......

Of course there are military options. If Donald is willing to pay the price in innocent lives. Which he might be, given he's only theoretically human.

Unless we intend to take the worlds chemistry-set away, this is a finger in the ---- situation.

Perhaps we should try responsible engagement instead of prohibition.

We always seem to run into problems with prohibition.

Offer the Norks most favored nation trading status and export Asian jobs to them.
The US has endured with China having nukes that can reach the US for decades.
Lets help their neighbors compete with China so we can lower prices for manufacturing goods.
Military options haven't worked in Asia for decades, the US military is impotent. Time to gut it.

Fake News Alert!

Always with the lies. Obama deported more undocumented aliens and spent more on border security than any previous president. No matter how many times the truth is shoved into your face you continue to lie. There is something seriously wrong with you people.

"For the first time, the number of unauthorized immigrants living in the U.S. was lower in 2015 than it was at the end of the Great Recession in 2009. "

Yeah, we could have done something about it but Republicans decided it was better to invade Iraq instead.

Obama's High deportation figures are misleading
It's easy to say you've deported more aliens when you change the definition from what past administrations used. "the number of people deported at or near the border has gone up -- primarily as a result of changing who gets counted in the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency's deportation statistics."
Don't call someone a liar when you are attempting to mislead.

The invention of nuclear weapons are only a small step up from the massive scale firebombings already taking place. Since the invention of nuclear weapons the world has entered a period of relative stability.
