Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News
Sunday, August 13, 2017

There are people in Washington DC working against President Donald Trump, the former White House communications director Anthony Scaramucci has said. He said there were "elements" within the White House trying to eject Trump, and he had "named some names." Scaramucci spoke to ABC News for the first time since being sacked last month -- after just 10 days in office. "What happens in Washington ... is the president is not a representative of the political establishment class, so for whatever reason the people have made a decision that they want to eject him," he told George Stephanopoulos of ABC News on Sunday.

"I think there are elements inside of Washington, also inclusive in the White House, that are not necessarily abetting the president's interests or his agenda."

However, he said the president needed to bring in "more loyalists" in order to carry out his agenda.

More of the interview is on the ABC News site.

Scaramucci: Bannon's 'toleration' of white nationalism is 'inexcusable'
abcnews.go.com

... Former White House communications director Anthony Scaramucci hit at Steve Bannon for his controversial views a day after a white nationalist rally in Charlottesville, Virginia, descended into violence.

During ABC News' livestream interview after "This Week," Scaramucci was asked if he believes Bannon is a white supremacist or white nationalist. Scaramucci said that he didn't know and hasn't directly asked Bannon about his views.

"I've never sat down with Steve Bannon and said, ‘Hey are you a white nationalist or a white supremacist?' But I think the toleration of it by Steve Bannon is inexcusable," Scaramucci said.

When asked by Stephanopoulos if that influence stemmed from Bannon, Scaramucci said, "I think the president knows what he's going to do with Steve Bannon."

"Let's leave it up to the president. It's his decision, but at the end of the day, the president has a very good idea of who the leakers are inside the White House. The president has a very good idea of the people who are undermining his agenda that are serving their own interests," Scaramucci added. ...

"If the president really wants to execute the legislative agenda that I think is so promising for the American people, the lower middle-class people and the middle-class people, then he has to move away from that 'Bannon-bart' nonsense," he said.

"That whole thing is nonsensical. It's not serving the president's interests. He's got to move more into the mainstream. He's got to be more into where the moderates are and the independents ... that love the president, so if he does that he'll have a very successful legislative agenda," he said.

Amen to that 🙏🏾.

Trump knows who the leaders are, but is just taking his time in firing them. Got to have a really really good reason to fire them. The phone transcripts weren't quite bad enough.

That ~Bannon leaking~ swipe in the ABC story caught my attention. Found this:

Trump suspects Bannon of leaking, putting job in jeopardy
www.axios.com

...President Trump has told close associates that he believes Steve Bannon is behind damaging leaks about White House colleagues, putting the chief strategist's job in fresh jeopardy, sources close to the president tell me.

Trump has told associates he's fed up with what he sees as self-promotion by Bannon, who did not join the core team this week at the president's golf club in Bedminster, N.J.

Bannon's time with Trump has diminished since the new chief of staff, retired Marine Gen. John Kelly, took over and imposed discipline on the circus around the Oval Office.

Bannon declined to comment....

I don't know how much of this regarding Mr Bannon is just going to blow over (again).

"White House Plotters Out to Get Trump"

Good. Work harder.

So Mooch would have Drumpf abandon his base (racists, White Nationalists, Neo Nazis) in order to speak to the few moderates and independents who still approve of him? That sounds like a winning formula, lol.

"I think there are elements inside of Washington, also inclusive in the White House, that are not necessarily abetting the president's interests or his agenda."

LOL - From the looks of things they number in the legions.

The "elements" looking to remove Trump are known as law and order.

The only way this differs from what happened to Obama is Obama did not have his head up his @$$ every waking moment, like Trump does.

That sounds like a winning formula, lol.

It is, because the demographics of moderates and independents, as well as industrial/mainstream Republicans are much more important than the Democrat meme/fictional base of "racists, White Nationalists, Neo Nazis."

In case nobody has noticed, Moochie was irrelevant before his brief stint as communications director and he's just as irrelevant now . . . except of course for his entertainment value to the opportunistic media when they allow him to make a complete fool of himself on live TV.

Under that slick veneer, Moochie must be really, really stupid.
