A car struck protesters in Charlottesville, Virginia, after police dispersed a gathering of white nationalists on Saturday. At least one person was killed in the collision, Charlottesville Mayor Mike Singer said on Twitter. ... Video from the scene showed a grey sedan plowing into protesters marching through the downtown shopping district as bystanders screamed for help. Footage from another angle showed the car speeding in reverse to flee the scene ... Some protesters who came for the "Unite the Right" rally were armed and dressed in military-like clothing, while others wore shirts with Nazi symbols and quotes from Adolf Hitler.

How come None of the armed open carry patriots were able to use their guns to protect themselves?

This is the kind of Nazi/White Supremacist terrorism that the Justice Department warned about at the start of the Obama Administration that caused the Reichwingnuts to lose their shizzle. Again, more people injured and killed by Reichwing terrorists than Muslim terrorists since 9/11. Drumpf has normalized this Nazi belief system and as such, this behavior. He has given them the courage to come out from under their rocks, and now we see exactly how many of these dead end losers there are in this country. I'm afraid we're close to a full-on shooting civil war when Drumpf is forced from power and hopefully faces indictment.

One note, I see the driver was taken into custody, not shot by a cop nor shot by a "violent liberal." I wonder if the cops bashed this punks head against the patrol car's door frame or gave him a rough ride on the way to the police station. My guess is, he arrived in one piece, no worse for wear.

BLOTUS' shriveled stones won't allow him to mention white supremacists.

U.S. Sen. Cory Gardner on Saturday called on President Donald Trump to label as "evil" the white nationalists who clashed with counterprotesters on Saturday at a rally in Virginia, where at least one person died when a car drove into a crowd.

Gardner, the Republican senator from Colorado, in a series of tweets called on Trump to specifically denounce the violence of the white supremacists. Other Republican leaders also denounced white supremacy, joining Gardner in going further than the president's comments on the matter.

"Mr. President – we must call evil by its name," Gardner said in one tweet after the violence that erupted Saturday in Charlottesville, Va. "These were white supremacists and this was domestic terrorism."

"Our Founders fought a revolution for the idea that all men are created equal. The heirs of that revolution fought a Civil War to save our nation, conceived in liberty and dedicated to that revolutionary proposition.

"Nothing less is at stake on the streets of Charlottesville, Virginia, where a violent attack has taken at least one American life and injured many others in a confrontation between our better angels and our worst demons.

"White supremacists and neo-Nazis are, by definition, opposed to American patriotism and the ideals that define us as a people and make our nation special.

"As we mourn the tragedy that has occurred in Charlottesville, American patriots of all colors and creeds must come together to defy those who raise the flag of hatred and bigotry." Statement released by John McCain

At a campaign rally in Kansas City on Saturday, the day after the unrest in Chicago, Trump addressed an earlier event in Dayton, Ohio, when a protester tried to storm the stage.

The candidate said he would have fought the person had he reached the lectern and mimed punching him a few times.
"I'll beat the crap out of you," he then mouthed.

"Part of the problem ... is nobody wants to hurt each other anymore."

"The audience hit back. That's what we need a little bit more of."

"In the good old days this doesn't happen because they used to treat them very, very rough."

"Try not to hurt him. If you do, I'll defend you in court, don't worry about it."

"I'd like to punch him in the face."

When Trump said today we have to figure out why this is happening, I said to the TV, You can start by looking in the mirror. You can start by looking around your administration. Miller, Bannon, Gorka, Sessions. Those people aren't there by accident. You appointed them. You retweeted White Supremacists and pretended you didn't know who David Duke is. You removed white racist groups form the list of terrorism groups in this country. It's no mystery why this is happening now. Yes, the problem pre-dates your administration, but you have emboldened these people. They say so themselves and thank you for it.

All the denials and all the obfuscating about the confederate flag and monuments and heritage laid bare. Southern pride and culture is a cowardly pretense (a pretense that conveniently and intentionally denies any cultural value of blacks in the south). These are nazi's and klanboys are demonstrating for the confederate monuments in honor of nothing other than white supremacy. Your stats and bars, side by side with the swastika. You stand with these torchbearers; you stand with the klan and the nazis. period.

The purpose of these Klan/Nazi marches and this terorist attack are intended to provoke a violent reaction either from the state or from anti-racism protestors and communities. Their goal is that once they provoke a violent confrontation they can start shooting people. Their belief is that when they get the shooting to start, the majority of white america wiill stand with them out of tribalism.

We constantly hear conservatives harping on the need for bystanders in the muslim community to come out against, denounce, assist law enforcement and inform on the radicals in their midst: Well conservatives, are you Americans or Nazi'? With us or against us?

White supremacists are terrorists. If you see something, say something..

Those standing on the sidelines were baffled as to why police weren't immediately stopping the skirmishes.

"If this were Ferguson, riot gear, tear gas, everything would have been used," said Anthony Bennett, a pastor from Connecticut, referring to the Missouri town where protests broke out in August 2014 after Darren Wilson, at the time a police officer, shot and killed Michael Brown, an unarmed black teenager. "There's a different standard here in Charlottesville."

Just before the rally, members of the Congregate Charlottesville blocked sections of stairs to the park. Around 10:15 a.m, more Unite the Right supporters began standing along police barricades holding flags and shields. As more people descended toward Emancipation Park, counter-protesters began throwing paint at the Unite the Right demonstrators. After that, fights broke out among members of the crowd.

Pro-white groups and counterdemonstrators spent about two hours in repeated skirmishes on East Market Street. State police say people were throwing cans full of concrete at each other along with pepper spray, tear gas, and other weapons.

Yup, the Nazis should be able to protest with no pushback, welcome to 1932 Germany. Christ, you defenders of these deplorable, vile sacks of feces make me sick! The Nazis came armed with guns, shields, helmets, and mace. They had been planning this as a way to attack the counter protesters they knew they would draw. They were making a point and encouraging more of this disgusting behavior. The anti-fascists were right to push back. If there was no counter protest, then other "disaffected white youth" would think this kind of behavior is OK. This is NOT OK in the USA.

Now MSM, can we just get away from all the think pieces about how Drumpf voters were disaffected white people with economic anxiety, and how the Dems need to craft a message to reach them. THIS was Drumpf's base, and personally, I don't want them in the Democratic party, EVER. Van Jones hit the nail on the head on election night, Drumpf's election was a whitelash. A white America reaction to the first black president. Polling has borne this out. Drumpf's base is largely racist and approved of his racist message.

This is on the shoulders of every racist sucker who voted for trump, and every liberal who refused to vote because "both parties are the same".

A lot of dumb minority democrats refuse to vote unless they're given a candidate of their own race. They showed up for obama because he was their race (even if he was owned by the banks) but they refuse to show up to vote for a REAL liberal progressive candidate simply because he's a white man.
