Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News

As global pressure ratchets up against North Korea with a new package of sanctions, the rogue nation is blaming the United States and threatening "ultimate measures" in response. The U.N. Security Council unanimously approved the new sanctions over the weekend, which are aimed at cutting roughly a third of North Korea's annual export revenue. Nikki Haley, the U.S. ambassador to the U.N., called the package the most stringent in a generation. ... North Korea has responded to the sanctions with characteristically strong rhetoric. "We will balance the U.S.'s felonious crime against our country and our people with something thousands of times worse, and if the U.S. does not retract its attempts to crush us to death and behave prudently, we will be ready and not hesitate to take ultimate measures," the government said in a statement published by the state-run KCNA news agency.

Our next two wars are laid out for us... North Korea and their only ally, Iran. Peace be with you.

There is no war to be won with NO. Therefore, it will not come about. Should they attack Seoul with any significance, the retaliation would be stark and unmerciful. That scenario eliminates Kim's legitimacy as a threat. He's only a God in his own country and he will not risk that scenario with any credibility.

Two scenarios are possible with NK:

1) the world accepts a nuclear NO (which I predict will happen)
2) World War 3

Which one do you think world leaders, including Trump, Will acquiesce to?

Certainly not WWIII considering there's nothing to be gained. Hence, a n nuclear NK should be an expected reality moving forward.

Assured mutual destruction still reigns as the biggest peace keeper of all.

North Korea can't buy a bowl of soup much less fund a war on a global platform. They ont have the reasources. It'll be much like the first Iraq war. Iran is surrounded too. look at our base locations. Just throw the MIC a few bones and everyone including the bankers make some cash.

Before accepting a "Nuclear N-Korea" outright, it is still possible to delay such a final tipping point, as it has been delayed up til now. Overt actions such as those taken in Operation Orchard could still occur, and clandestine acts such as the Ryongchong disaster may happen yet again.

That's the assumption that Kim views himself as a god and the status quo is far more preferable for him than not. In all reality, Trump has no say on this matter, which I am sure digs into him like a Minnesota wood tick.

The PDRK has a couple of allies. Namely China and Iran. Iran is far too far from their frontiers to help in any action. China want's a buffer between an ally of the west and themselves. Kim Jung Un has actually done a better job in running his country than his father, which is in fact a low standard to exceed. Food shortages are eased, the Army is happy, and Un is secure enough to execute some of his own extended family and many of the old guard. The government is Stalinist, and proud of it. "One nation, one leader, one people, one unified will",(a propaganda slogan on display on the border of the DMZ). The one thing Un fears more than war is the PDRK becoming irrelevant. As much as the PDRK would like to believe other wise, it is a small poor country of 30 million with limited resources and little foreign trade. After the unanimous vote in the Security Counsel their trade is about to be reduced by another third.
Facts that Un knows. If war broke out with South Korea, he would loose, with or without the help of the USA. China has had enough of the PDRK, they cost them money, and have nothing to show for their investments, except illegal aliens and perceptual chaos. The Chinese do not like any disorder within or outside their borders. What will happen? I give Un a year after the new sanctions are in force. The Chinese could sponsor a coop from inside his Army, or Little Kim might realize he has overplayed his hand and back down. He will have to find a distraction if that happens. If you can't attack your external enemy, you must attack the internal ones.(Stalin-ism 101). Expect purges in the PDRK, next year.

You should try and keep up Comrade. North Korea has about 60 nukes and has already miniaturized a nuke for the ballistic missiles they have already developed and tested.

Hmmm. Let's see. Kim is not sane and believes his own 💩 And actually thinks that he is a God.

Trump is definitely not sane and also believes his own 💩 and desperately needs a war to distract us from the Russian investigation which is slowly closing in on him.

Now maybe you can see where we are headed.

I do not see this ending well.

Mutually assured destruction is already in place, but neither Trump nor Putin nor Kim nor Iran are crazy enough to meet their own makers before living up the privileges of earthly power.

If Koresh or Jones were elevated to such levels of power, I'd give perceive this being a legitimate concern. But neither Trump nor Putin nor Kim nor Iran are willing to sacrifice their earthly power, prestige, privilege, and p***y.

Trump Vows ‘Fire and Fury' If North Korea Keeps Threatening U.S.
www.bloomberg.com

...President Donald Trump said North Korea will be "met with fire and fury and, frankly, power the likes of which the world has never seen before" if Kim Jong Un's regime continues to threaten the U.S.

"He has been very threatening," Trump told reporters in Bedminster, New Jersey on Tuesday.

Trump's comments followed a report in the Washington Post, citing a Defense Intelligence Agency analysis, that Pyongyang successfully developed a miniaturized nuclear warhead that could fit onto its missiles. And it comes just days after the UN Security Council ratcheted up sanctions on North Korea, targeting about $1 billion of the nation's approximately $3 billion in exports. Those restrictions followed two intercontinental ballistic missile tests in July....

Trump threatens nuclear war should Kim just 'threaten' the U.S. again.

HAHA! What a blowhard! And terrible at confrontation. "If you do so much as sneeze in our general direction, I will nuke the ---- out of you and your people!"

Trump's mouth is writing checks that his generals will never allow his ass to cash.

North Korea Mulling Plan to Strike Guam, State Media Announces
www.nbcnews.com

... North Korea says it is "seriously reviewing" a plan to strike the U.S. Pacific territory of Guam with missiles -- just hours after President Donald Trump told the regime that any threat to the United States would be met with "fire and fury."

A spokesman for the Korean People's Army, in a statement carried by the regime's state-run KCNA news agency on Wednesday (local time), said it was going over "military options to form attack positions" around the U.S. territory in order to "send a stern warning" to the United States.

In another statement citing a different military spokesman, North Korea also said it could carry out a pre-emptive operation if the United States showed signs of provocation, according to Reuters. ...

That depends on whether Kim believes his own BS about him being a God.

If Kim really believes he is a God to his people then he believes he can beat the US with his mighty Godly weapons. He doesn't think he will lose anything, he believes it will make him even mightier.

You need look no further than how Trump believed his own BS about "repeal and replace" and passing "Trumpcare".

It was gonna be so easy. Remember?
