Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News
Friday, June 16, 2017

Special counsel Robert S. Mueller III is investigating the finances and business dealings of Jared Kushner, President Trump's son-in-law and adviser, as part of the investigation into Russia's interference in the 2016 presidential election, according to U.S. officials familiar with the matter. FBI agents and federal prosecutors have also been examining the financial dealings of other Trump associates, including former national security adviser Michael Flynn, former campaign chairman Paul Manafort and Carter Page, who was listed as a foreign-policy adviser for the campaign. The Washington Post previously reported that investigators were scrutinizing meetings that Kushner held with Russians in December -- first with Russian ambassador Sergey Kislyak, and then with Sergey Gorkov, the head of a state-owned Russian development bank.

At the December meeting with Kislyak, Kushner suggested establishing a secure communications line between Trump officials and the Kremlin at a Russian diplomatic facility, according to U.S. officials who reviewed intelligence reports describing Kislyak's account.

The White House has said that the subsequent meeting with the banker was a pre-inauguration diplomatic encounter, unrelated to business matters.

No, he has a daughter and two sons (not Tiffany or Barron), and it won't be me going after them.

These drips have been going on since last July. The only thing that is gaining traction is the Clinton/Lynch collusion. LOL What a backfire!

"The only thing that is gaining traction is the Clinton/Lynch collusion."

Riiiiiiiiiight.

That's probably why Pence lawyered up, and Trump's finances are now being investigated. Because nothing is gaining traction.

"LOL What a backfire!"

Whistling by the graveyard.

Like everyone else in the Trump family, I hope that smarmy frat boy Kushner gets his come-uppance that wipes the smut, arrogant look off that preppy face of his. He is the kind of ------- who could be good buddies with Bradford Winston.

and Trump's finances are now being investigated

They have been trying to find something wrong with his finances for two years. Either there is nothing there or those doing the searching are complete morons.

"They have been trying to find something wrong with his finances for two years. "

Well now they have subpoena power. Changes the environment, doesn't it?

Still need evidence for a subpoena

#15 | Posted by fishpaw at 2017-06-16 11:56 AM | Reply

I have no doubt that if they have enough information to initiate a Special Counsel investigation of Kushner's business practices, they have more than enough info to get a subpoena.

We're going to find out about Donald's money at last. The least likely outcome is that he earned it honestly.

Same for Jared, same for Ivanka, and Usay and Qusay should just leave the country now.

If there is "nothing there" then why is Trump hiding his tax returns? Release the returns so we ALL know that nothing is there.

It's pretty simple fishy.

"People have got to know whether or not their President is a crook."

That is just willful ignorance if you think they've found nothing. The IRS knows full well how much he owes to Russia.

"If there was wrongdoing..."

IRS records provide a platform for specific investigations.

On just one small point...Donald says he has no Russian interests.

That's going to be a lie.

Why suspect Donald is a criminal? Because of how he leads his daily life.

Hmmmm... maybe THAT is why he has been audited by the IRS every year for 12 years.

Release the tax returns and clear the air. Pretty easy.

Especially if you are proud of your awesome Bigly financial "Art of the Deal" skills and have nothing to hide.
