Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News

Public approval of President Donald Trump has dropped to its lowest level since his inauguration, according to a Reuters/Ipsos poll released on Friday, after Trump was accused of mishandling classified information and meddling with an FBI investigation. The May 14-18 opinion poll found that 38 percent of adults approved of Trump while 56 percent disapproved. The remaining 6 percent had "mixed feelings." ... Among Republicans, 23 percent expressed disapproval of Trump in the latest poll, up from 16 percent in the same poll last week. The decline in support from Republicans appears to be a primary reason why Trump's overall approval rating is now at the lowest level since he took office.

You mean these polls?

National Polling Accurately Nails Popular Vote

In terms of predicting the national popular vote outcome, the national polls did remarkably well in 2016.

Those polls?

Then there are the conservative radio shows, television, newspapers, websites, etc....

At what point do you think about the actions of conservative voters and the people they elect?

People need to be aware that Trump voters still love him. These kinds of stories just contribute to the false notion that anything has or will change.

Trump is back down to just the idiots that voted for him. The rest of country is feeling nauseous.

"
A new Reuters/IPSOS tracking poll, released Friday afternoon, showed the president with a job approval rating of 75 percent among Republicans.

Political professionals generally view it as worrying for any commander-in-chief if his approval ratings with his own party dip below 85 percent -- and downright alarming if they go below 80 percent.

"Seventy-five [percent] is certainly a new number and I would want to see something that would either back that up or refute it," said GOP pollster David Winston, whose resumé includes work for former Speaker Newt Gingrich (R-Ga.).

"Certainly, if it were true, that is not where you would want to be."

Yeah how dare professionals tell us what the president is doing.

If they would just shut up or lie to us like he does, his approval ratings would be a lot higher.

Nice that you obediently take his orders to blame the media like a good little lapdog.

Maybe he'll give you a treat. But probably not.

So you're saying the media influences people?

How negative was press coverage of President Trump's first 100 days in office? Far more than that of Barack Obama, George W. Bush, or Bill Clinton, according to a new report from the Harvard Kennedy School's Shorenstein Center on Media, Politics and Public Policy.

The Harvard scholars analyzed the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Washington Post and the main newscasts (not talk shows) of CBS, CNN, Fox and NBC during Trump's initial time in office. They found, to no one's surprise, that Trump absolutely dominated news coverage in the first 100 days. And then they found that news coverage was solidly negative -- 80 percent negative among those outlets studied, versus 20 percent positive.

80% negative from MSM, more the Obama, bush, or Clinton and the same outlets doing poll approvals....LOL!

The numbers for previous presidents: Barack Obama, 41 percent negative, 59 percent positive; George W. Bush, 57 percent negative, 43 percent positive; and Bill Clinton, 60 percent negative, 40 percent positive.www.washingtonexaminer.com

So Obama was treated the best and the only one with higher positive press than negative. Boy does that ever reflect on how far liberal the press has become.

Missing from the article is any analysis on what the media should do when 80 percent of what comes out of the President's mouth are provable lies.

If his performance is negative, the coverage is going to be negative.

It's not the media's fault he's a moron.
