Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News
Thursday, April 20, 2017

For decades, scientists have tracked hints of a thread-like structure that ties together galaxies across the universe. Theories, computer models, and indirect observations have indicated that there is a cosmic web of dark matter that connects galaxies and constitutes the large-scale structure of the cosmos. But while the filaments that make up this web are massive, dark matter is incredibly difficult to observe. Now, researchers have produced what they say is the first composite image of a dark matter filament that connects galaxies together.

"This image moves us beyond predictions to something we can see and measure," said Mike Hudson, a professor of astronomy at the University of Waterloo in Canada, co-author of a new study published in the Monthly Notices of the Royal Astronomical Society.

This does not appear to be a captured image, but an image created using known galaxy data loaded into a computer and generated artificially using current theory about dark matter. Here's a contrary one:

Don't listen to them. it's a conspiracy like global warming or man walking on the moon or gravity.

It is the LAW!

From what I have read about Dark Matter, It does not hold together galaxies, it pushes them apart. The accelerating speed of the galaxies moving apart is why the question of dark mater came into being. We exist in three dimensions and are on a single point of the fourth,(time). Can we comprehend the fifth to twelfth? Could we comprehend seeing all of time at once? We shall see. Knowledge doubles every 10 years now. Knowledge we can use or improve the human condition, not so much.
