Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News
Tuesday, April 18, 2017

Ken Dilanian, NBC News: A review of the surveillance material flagged by House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes shows no inappropriate action by Susan Rice or any other Obama administration official, Republican and Democratic Congressional aides who have been briefed on the matter told NBC News. President Donald Trump told the New York Times he believed former National Security Adviser Rice broke the law by asking for the identities of Trump aides who were mentioned in transcripts of U.S. surveillance of foreign targets. ... Members of the House and Senate intelligence committees from both parties have traveled to NSA headquarters to review the relevant intelligence reports. "I saw no evidence of any wrongdoing," said one U.S. official who reviewed the documents, who would not agree to be identified further. "It was all completely normal."

Now that this is settled, Trump can get back to putting Hillary in prison and proving millions of illegals voted for her.

Unidentified source.

Okay, I believe you?

"After a review of the same intelligence reports brought to light by House Intelligence Chairman Devin Nunes, both Republican and Democratic lawmakers and aides have so far found no evidence that Obama administration officials did anything unusual or illegal, multiple sources in both parties tell CNN.

Their private assessment contradicts President Donald Trump's allegations that former Obama national security adviser Susan Rice broke the law by requesting the "unmasking" of US individuals' identities."

OK so Susan Rice didn't do anything wrong but Obama was born in Kenya! Ah hah! I win.

No Danni. The fact is the campaign was surveilled. That has been proven to be a fact.

Look dude, I could criticize you on your reading comprehension ability but I'm not. I'm just going to correct you.

They said Rice did nothing ILLEGAL with the unmasking of names. I'm sure you can see the difference.

Meanwhile, the investigations into Trump's ties to Russia are moving forward. Right? Right?

#11 | Posted by catdog at 2017-04-19 08:52 AM | Reply | Funny: 1

The fact is Russian spies were being spied on. And trump team got caught talking to those Russian spies.

And conservative nitwits make excuses for treason and throw their patriot credibility out the door for the foreseeable future.

All she did was have information that is normally redacted, unredacted and compiled into a nice spreadsheet that was sent to 16 different agencies. If one or more misguided souls at one of those agencies leaked the information, is it really her doing? I'd say yes, but I'm biased against liars like Rice.

Just not liars like Trump, Conway, and Spicer though right? Just the liars you *don't* like. Gotcha.

Conman's campaign was talking to russian political operatives. That made it our gov's JOB to surveil them.

If obama wasn't spying on trump's people, obama wasn't doing his job.

And you're more upset about the person who outed russian spies than you are about the trumpers who were WORKING WITH the russian spies.

How do you know they're working with Russian Spies? Are you with the CIA or FBI? Was there a trial? What was the subject of the conversations that were wire tapped? The facts as I know them are that possible Russian nationals were spied upon by US and allied government agencies while communicating with Trump associates. The fact that Trump associates were communicating with Russian nationals (or at least persons located in Russia) was illegally leaked. The Obama administration has some explaining to do.

Trump loves him some Wikileaks, I know because he told us but when the leaks are about him and his gang of thugs he doesn't like leaks. I wish the Orange Liar would mae up his mind. Visitor how much do you get per post? Where can I sign up, I can repeat right wing talking points just as good as you. Do actually have to believe the b.s. or is it simply a job for losers?

"If obama wasn't spying on trump's people, obama wasn't doing his job." - SPEAKSOFTLY.

I AGREE 100%.

I have posted several times that there are 3 likely possibilities...

1) The Obama administration suspected collusion and DID NOT WIRETAP. (They would be incompetent)

2) The Obama administration wire tapped and FOUND evidence of collusion. (They would be traitorous for not disclosing that collusion)

3) The Obama administration wire tapped and DID NOT find evidence of collusion. This is the most likely possibility since nothing has leaked in the 5 moths since the election.

Speaksoftly, were the persons on the other end of the wire tap identified? How do we know they are spies or have ties to Putin? There are many perfectly innocent, non-treasonous reasons for members of a government in waiting to contact persons in another country.

In which case the captured conversations will be perfectly innocent and non-treasonous in content, and there will be no case to be made against anyone on Team Trump for colluding with Russia. For example, if they just exchanged pleasantries like holiday wishes, there will be no there, there in the surveillance tapes.

Once again Rcade uses too many words in the title. Could have just stopped with "Trumps Claims Unravel".

The longer Cheeto stays in office you'll just need to choose from a drop down to select titles each day.

If they're innocent, why do they keep getting caught lying about their contacts with the Russians? Do you lie about innocent things you have done? Most people don't.

Funny how the same people who use the "you shouldn't care if you aren't doing anything wrong" argument to excuse warrantless invasions of privacy are now feigning outrage over an investigation being done using appropriate judicial oversight and warrants
