Apple's New HQ Brings Pane to Unobservant Workers

Apple's $5 billion Norman Foster-designed "spaceship" HQ isn't finished yet, but it's already taking out puny humans. Three calls reporting 911 medical emergencies were made about building-battered employees. The San Francisco Chronicle put in a FOI request to Santa Clara County and obtained the chilling details. One employee was reported to have serious head bleeding, while a 23-year-old reported being concussed. Two suffered head injuries by walking into glass -- and one ran into it. Readers will note how the building targets the head. The Chronicle reports that Apple had been warned of the danger of glass. The building had cunningly concealed itself to surprise its users. "When you clean the windows, you can't even tell some of them are there," Dirk Mattern, with the Santa Clara County Fire Department, said.

No wonder the iPhone X sucks.

iPhone X is indeed awesome.

Not according to the markets and kids under 25, with the latter hurting Apple more than anything else could.

@#2 & #3

iPhoneX has done good revenue-wise. But Bloomberg noted that it was the iPhoneX's high price, and not the sales units, that drove the revenue pleasantries.

This article from an asian industry site seems to confirm:

Well, it's good to know it's not just their phones that they are warned of problems and still do it anyways. Consistency is a good thing.

Hey, Apple. Try sandblasting a few logos onto your glass panes. It's not rocket science. Problem solved.

Nah. This helps get rid of less intelligent employees.

If they look up from their phones once and awhile it probably would not be a problem, I cannot begin to say how many times I've watched people so engrossed in their phone and walking into things - including one who almost got hit by a car by continuing down off wheelchair ramp into the crosswalk while traffic had the right of way!

There are a couple of buildings that have glass fronts I've nearly walked through. It's really embarrassing having to explain how day blind I am.

I'm wondering if these employees wore glasses or had vision issues. Too little light is nearly as bad as too much.
