Fla. Senate says no to weapons ban, holds moment of silence

The Florida Senate on Saturday voted down a bill to ban assault weapons, then immediately pivoted to a moment of silence for victims of the shooting at a Parkland, Fla., high school last month.

I just felt that this unselfish moment of silence will do so much in the future to prevent mass shootings that we owe the Florida State Senators a big show of support for their courage. It's great to know that we have politicians who cave in to the lobbyists to protect our right to own weapons of war with which some of us will shoot down innocent kids at school. Our Florida Senators should be so proud! So should all of those who voted for the one's who voted down the assault weapons ban, you have blood on your hands, it will never wash off. You are permanently stained for posterity.

our right to own weapons of war

You know, progress might actually be made if the hysterics and hyperbole were cut out of the conversation.

Just sayin' that, you know, maybe both extremes are part of the problem.
