7 Months Ago, Trump Wanted to Partner with Putin to Keep Elections Secure

"Putin & I discussed forming an impenetrable Cyber Security unit so that election hacking, & many other negative things, will be guarded."

Right! And Trump is known to be a bastion of truth, honor and the American way.

WHAT an idiot!

If you voted for Trump, I'm not sure you should be allowed to vote again...or own a gun...or talk...

Even stupid people have rights.

That's like Gannon's punchboard partnering with Bin Laden to defend the twin towers.

Every f--king day I'm still SMFH at the stupidity of Trump and especially his bloody supporters. It's hard to believe how far our country has fallen.

#5, Trump supporters are no different from the Know-Nothings of 160 years ago.
In fact they basically have the same agenda, just updated with new scapegoats.

Underlying issues[edit]
The immigration of large numbers of Irish and German Catholics to the United States in the period between 1830 and 1860 made religious differences between Catholics and Protestants a political issue. Violence occasionally erupted at the polls. Protestants alleged that Pope Pius IX had put down the failed liberal Revolutions of 1848 and that he was an opponent of liberty, democracy and republicanism. One Boston minister described Catholicism as "the ally of tyranny, the opponent of material prosperity, the foe of thrift, the enemy of the railroad, the caucus, and the school".[8][9] These fears encouraged conspiracy theories regarding papal intentions of subjugating the United States through a continuing influx of Catholics controlled by Irish bishops obedient to and personally selected by the Pope.

#6 True. Perhaps I should rephrase:
It's hard to believe how badly our country has failed to advance.

"It's hard to believe how badly our country has failed to advance."

Supreme Court with an agenda to allow unlimited cash to be spent on elections, corporate personhood, completely partisan networks on TV and radio with a constant 24/7 flow of propaganda. When the poor and working classes vote for legislators who pass huge tax cuts for the 1% creating at least 7 trillion more in debt (probably much more) over the next ten years you have a recipe for backwardness.
