Clinton and the Obama admin colluded to damage Trump

he newly released document is an unclassified and heavily redacted version of the criminal referral targeting Steele filed on Jan. 4 by Republican Sens. Chuck Grassley of Iowa and Lindsey Graham of South Carolina. It appears to confirm some level of coordination between the extended Clinton circle and the Obama administration in the effort to seek damaging information about then-candidate Trump.

I read there is an uclear version floating around ....

Comments

The referral, which was first released in heavily redacted form on Monday, appears to confirm some level of coordination between the extended Clinton circle and the Obama administration in the effort to seek damaging information about then-candidate Trump.

The less-redacted referral fails to provide further illumination on the memo mentioned in the dossier obtained by BuzzFeed, mentioning how Steele allegedly received information from "a foreign sub-source who is in touch with [redacted], a contact of [redacted], a friend of the Clintons, who passed it to [redacted]" -- redactions that appeared in the first issuance of the referral.

So? Democrats can't cooperate with each other? This is just stupid.

I suppose it depends upon what you define as "cooperation" .....

Do you define cooperation as, working together to get a FISA warrant to extract information on a political opponent.

If you do then no its not stupid.

"Do you define cooperation as, working together to get a FISA warrant to extract information on a political opponent. "

Andrea, this whole thread is nonsense. It's a lame attempt to now take the focus off of the memo put together by the Democratic members of the committee in response to the utterly lame Nunes memo. Generally speaking, the Washington Examiner is not a real newspaper but just a propaganda outlet for Republicans, as you well know.

Hillary and surrogates colluding is good. Trump Jr. attempting the same thing, poorly, is treason. Got it.

" the foreign source gave the information to an unnamed associate of Hillary and Bill Clinton, who then gave the information to an unnamed official in the Obama State Department"

Remember when the right used to poo poo on the old "unnamed sources"?

Blumenthal was not a source for Steele's dossier. He also didn't work at the State department. Blumenthal was friends with Cody Shearer, who wrote a second memo that was passed along to Steele. Steele never did anything with that memo except forward it on to the FBI.

Devin Nunes's Next Target

The House Intelligence Committee chair has turned his sights to the State Department, as he presses forward with his probe into intelligence gathering related to Russian electoral interference in 2016.

Devin Nunes has a new target: Jonathan Winer, the Obama State Department's special envoy to Libya, and longtime Senate aide to John Kerry. Winer received a memorandum written by political activist Cody Shearer and passed it along to Christopher Steele, the former British intelligence official who had compiled his own dossier on Donald Trump.

BTW, the FBI opened an investigation into the Clinton Foundation based on the book "Clinton Cash", which was written and funded by Clinton's political opponents:

The FBI's Clinton Foundation investigation was based on the book 'Clinton Cash' -- and fueled by secret recordings

The FBI launched its investigation into the Clinton Foundation based on news stories and information in the book "Clinton Cash," The New York Times reported on Tuesday, citing law enforcement officials.

‘Clinton Cash' Book Got Most of Its Funding From One Hedge Fund Star

Mercer Family Foundation gave $1.7 million to GAI in 2015

Group founded by Bannon paid author of anti-Clinton book

Offshore cash helped fund Steve Bannon's attacks on Hillary Clinton

Eighteen months before guiding Donald Trump to election victory, Steve Bannon delivered the opening shot in the ruthless Republican campaign to paint their Democratic opponent as corrupt.

The future White House chief strategist produced a book in May 2015 accusing Hillary Clinton of trading favours for donations to her charitable foundation. Its questionable central charge, on the sale of a uranium company to Russia, recently became the subject of a House inquiry and feverish talk on conservative media.

But the financial arrangements of another foundation, which bankrolled Bannon's creation of the book, Clinton Cash, have received less scrutiny.

"Clinton and the Obama admin colluded to damage Trump"

Why is this news? As the head of the Democrat Party and the party's candidate, respectively, I kind of think they would have been derelict in their duties had they not been doing everything in their power to discredit the opposition. The only gray area is how far they went, what resources they used, and what conflicts of interest were in play? The question here is not if they were doing it, but rather how far did they go?

The GOP is batting 1.000 lately with nothingburgers.

I'm guessing this is more of the same.

So know you be OK with the Trump administration to use fabricated information to obtain FISA warrants so that they can spy on Democrats leading up the 2018 November election?

#19 | Posted by jamesgelliott at 2018-02-07 06:33 PM

When people find evidence that Trump is committing treason, I expect them to pass that to the FBI for investigation.
If you see something, say something.

If spies offer you info, you should report it to the FBI.

Dems follow the law, GOPers want to ignore laws.

#20 | Posted by bored at 2018-02-07 06:54 PM

If the Obama admin released evidence against Trump (which they had) or revealed a damaging investigation (which was ongoing) that would be bad.
But they didn't, instead the GOP weaponized the FBI, leaked intel to damage Hillary.
Dems have honor, GOPers are traitorous scum.

So why is it an issue that Obama "wants to know everything we're doing" & had Comey brief him on Russia probe? Because Obama had said, "I do not talk to FBI directors about pending investigations...I guarantee it." That quote is here

TRUE

But they didn't, instead the GOP weaponized the FBI, leaked intel to damage Hillary.

LOL why don't you wait for the "investigation" to complete? You sound like a TrumpDart....

See the top .... good luck in your beliefs .. even Schiff said talking to a foreign nation for dirt was treasonous, yet that is what was going on here... deny if you want....

And B. Hussein also promised that you could keep your doctor with ACA.

So what's your point?

"And B. Hussein also promised that you could keep your doctor with ACA."

I still have my same doctor so what is your point? Oh right, a Fox News talking point. Hilarious!

#25 | Posted by danni at 2018-02-08 07:08 AM

The leaker Schiff was himself working with a foreign government to gather dirt on Trump. (or at least he thought he was).

I think he should resign his post on the intelligence committee and an investigation into his treasonous acts should be started immediately.

Right now, it sure looks like that Clinton and Co. were guilty of a lot of nefarious stuff. As I stated above, anyone who didn't expect them to try to harm the opposition using any number of dirty tricks is living in a fantasy land. And besides, even Democrats know the Clintons are scumbags. The issue is whether or not she broke any laws, who helped her, how far did she (and possibly Obama) go in weaponizing the US Government resources for purpose of destroying the opposing candidate, etc. And what's interesting, all these allegations are based on the unclassified information. It will be interesting to see what happens as the classified stuff is brought out. My guess is that there are about to be some indictments handed down.

"Right now, it sure looks like that Clinton and Co. were guilty of a lot of nefarious stuff. "

That is a lie. All your side has is lies. You've been lying about the Clintons for 20 years and haven't ever, even will all of your investigations, ever made one charge stick except Bill got a BJ. All you are is a Fox News talking point repeating puppet. The could create an effective replacement for you with a doll that has a pull string on its back just repeating Fox News talking points cuz that's all any of you really ever do. I'd be totally embarrassed to be so gullible.

LOL ~ Wishful thinking is more like it.

In case you haven't noticed, everytime Der Trumpf gets his t*t in a wringer, Obama and Hillary is FOX's favorite fallback.

I watch FOX myself and I can drive a Mack truck through the holes in their reporting. You really need to broaden your horizons because FOX is making you sound like a fool.

But then I don't know you. Maybe you like being victimized. Perhaps even a little too much.
