Two are dead now, a dozen more wounded. Shootings like these don't even make the front page anymore. Meh, just a bunch of kids shot while going to school, ho hum.

Thoughts and prayers, though, totally.

14.
we live in a war based society.

did we ever get the back story on the Vegas shooter?

I liked the Vegas shooter conspiracy that has the doorman or bellhop or whatever the help is called nowadays going underground, only to resurface on tv show Ellen. The link was that the Mandalay Bay is owned by the same entity that owns Ellen. Like that isn't just a standard damage control thing to do, send your guy go on the talk circuit to calm things down after a major disaster.

Anyway, there was something in the news about a week ago about him, something about the pains he took to protect his identity online. It isn't really that hard to not leave a huge trail of breadcrumbs. We can tell a lot about people from their metadata, but a lot of that isn't stuff someone is trying to hide. I'm not trying to hide my credit card purchases from Amazon, I'm happily sharing that data with Amazon and Bank of America for 5% back on Prime.

How's this for irony?

This was printed on the same day the 11th school shooting in the last 24 days happened.

Gotta "tell both sides" though, lest you be labeled "fake news" and become a target for the republican base and their rifles:

When President Trump was inaugurated, he made the American people a promise: "This American carnage stops right here and stops right now."

It is a promise that he has kept.
