NewYearsEve: Berlin to have 'safe zone' for women

The new security measures planned for the Brandenburg Gate party come amid concerns about sexual assaults. A large number of assaults and robberies targeting women at Cologne's New Year's Eve celebrations two years ago horrified Germany. Hundreds of women reported being attacked by gangs of men with migrant backgrounds.

Interesting, I wonder how the "be nice to Women2.0 defend the migrants" will react. To say it didn't happen is preposterous given the fact that there will be a safe zone. E

Comments

If women are that unsafe it sadly does count as cultural imperialism and the invaders are the ones who should be afraid.

If SJW were a reality they'd surely be one opposed to rape culture.

#3 | Posted by Tor at 2017-12-30 03:27 PM

Problem is this report sounds so much like so many false reports the right has promoted that the left assumes they're just crying wolf again.

See if you can follow the bouncing ball here ...

All politics is local, even in Germany.

Far right extremists in Germany have been demagoguing immigrants every chance they can (like what you do here) ...

So it only makes sense that Merkel doesn't want the same problems that occurred two years ago and increased security for Germany's New Year Eve's celebrations.

By the way, if Merkel is forced to step down as Germany's Chancellor, the talk is that she will be replaced by the 38 year old liberal named Jens Spahn, who is an openly gay Roman Catholic and who has been critical of Merkel's immigration policy.

If Merkel is so concerned about Germans maybe she shouldn't life easy for members of an apparently invasive culture.

No doubt that Merkel is in political trouble -- but the characterization you're painting is more akin to termites infesting your house as compared to refugees fleeing war.

#8 | Posted by PinchALoaf at 2017-12-30 06:13 PM

@ PINCHALOAF

I'd prefer to think of them as refugees fleeing a war.

But per Merkel's move they can't be taught that rape is bad.

Clearly there is nothing wrong with their brains so it must be a cultural problem.

#9 | Posted by Tor at 2017-12-30 06:23 PM

If we aren't willing to take in refugees, we shouldn't fight wars that create millions of them.

Once we decide to fight a war somewhere and risk our troops, we have an obligation in the humanitarian crisis the war creates.

The people who demonize Syrian refugees are some of the same ones who applauded Trump's airstrikes in Syria.

#10 | Posted by rcade at 2017-12-30 06:50 PM

Per their Troll army Russia clearly has a unsettling interest in Syria.

Doesn't excuse mass sexual assault or pretending like it's not part of an apparently invasive culture.

We as educated Americans with (small-d) democratic values should be able to distinguish between a humanitarian crisis involving refugees fleeing war and demogoguing the entire Muslim culture.

I'm all for prosecuting those responsible ... but there's a difference between legitimate law and order and playing into Putin's hands by demogoguing the issue.

#13 | Posted by PinchALoaf at 2017-12-30 07:11 PM

Doesn't seem to be strictly a Syrian problem either:

"Almost all of the suspects of the Cologne (sex) crimes were non-Germans; two-thirds of them from Morocco or Algeria."

No you aren't because in SJW world its in inherently racist to prosecute immigrants, thats why they are making a "safe zone".

but there's a difference between legitimate law and order and playing into Putin's hands by demogoguing the issue.

LOL really? You are an open borders supporter, you don't care about law and order ....

I have never once heard Putin say anything about immigrants raping Germans on NewYearsEve.

Link it if you can find it.....

You would think educated Americans with small d's could ... but as Americans know, most immigrants are not from "war torn" countries, that is propaganda to keep the doors open ....

Who is demogoguing an entire religion? I am demogoguing open borders immigration......

Have you seen Boaz's posts?

As for open borders immigration, you demagogue the wrong group. If you really wanted to shut it down you'd be blasting the corporations who use their labor and fight to keep the immigration stream moving.

But you're a corporate shill so you demagogue the immigrants themselves.

#17 | Posted by jpw at 2017-12-30 07:57 PM

Democrats talk like that the days they aren't getting sloshed in Wall Street money.

Oh, so you have no immigrant blood in you then?

How'd you manage to bring yourself to vote for immigrant Trump and his fresh off the boat wives?

I wish I was getting sloshed on Wall Street money.

I'd be drinking the good ----, that's for sure.

But do you have something worthwhile to add? Do you disagree with the notion of blaming those who create the situation instead of those caught up in it?

#20 | Posted by jpw at 2017-12-30 08:15 PM

I will happily blame Russia for all their crimes but the wave sex crimes by refugees on the streets of Germany are the product of the culture they brought with them and are replicating in the heart of Europe and are apparently being enabled by the German Government.

I'm not an "open borders" supporter. I'm all for secure borders and common sense immigration policy. Trump, Trump supporters, and Republican rank & file voters are not advocating for common sense immigration policies.

As for Putin's destabilization efforts and desire to foment dissent in Europe, here you go ... whchronicle.com ... the video is titled 'On Russian Power' [29:00] and the panel includes former American Ambassador to Slovakia, a journalist who authored an important book on Russians, and the moderator Llewellyn King.

Start studying up.

Yeah, how about ICE raids on hundreds of corporations? You must be in favor of that, given your position.

#23 | Posted by nullifidian

You seem to misunderstand my position.

I'm for going after the source of the problem, ie cheap labor that corps can deport when they get too uppity, not the folks fulfilling the incentive corps have created.

My beef is never with folks working hard and trying to earn enough for a good life. I figured that that would be a position that's easy for a righty to support.

#24 | Posted by jpw at 2017-12-30 09:42 PM

Nulli plays a zero sum game where America gets better when immigrants magically disappear and unemployed blacks take their jobs.

Its like he doesn't understand that there's literally nothing stopping them from simply hiring the blacks right now.

But... they don't hire the blacks.

Why don't they hire the blacks, Nulli?

Have you watched the 29-minute video in post #22 on what motivates Putin to foment unrest in other countries?

The experts in that video even cite specific examples.

All you have to do is click on it, then listen ... easy peasy.

#26 | Posted by PinchALoaf at 2017-12-31 08:03 AM

Rules are when you move to a country with a different culture planning to live there you only retain the BEST of your old ways.

If Germany is going to offer their young on a sacrificial plate they might as well declare themselves an Islamic state now.

#27 | Posted by Tor at 2017-12-31 03:59 PM

Well as long as it is not violent rape by immigrants it should be called cultural diversity enrichment.

Ever notice that asian countries and Israel are not accepting this cultural dilution solution?
