Trump Took 100 Vacation Days in 2017. Low Energy!

The president has spent more than 100 days at one of his properties, including more than a month each at his golf course in New Jersey and at Mar-a-Lago in Florida. While Trump frequently criticized President Barack Obama for taking golf outings, and pledged on the campaign trail that he "would not be a president that takes time off," he took to calling Mar-a-Lago the "Winter White House" almost immediately after entering office. Trump's frequent travel has drawn criticism not only for the questions it raises about his use of taxpayer money and his level of interest in the work of running the government, but also for the benefits afforded to his business when he visits his properties.

During this latest vacation he ate and laughed about all the money for himself in the tax bill.

‘We might have to get taller cameras': CNN cracks up as White House tries to block them from filming Trump golfing

CNN on Tuesday caught footage of President Donald Trump playing golf, despite the fact that Trump on Monday had insisted he would be getting "back to work" on the day after Christmas.

Trump was back on the golf course again on Wednesday, and CNN once again stationed itself just outside the course on public property in an attempt to capture footage of the president golfing.

This time, however, someone had parked a massive white truck in front of the clearing the CNN used earlier this week to get Trump golfing footage -- thus blocking the cable news network from getting any new video.

Don Lemon pointed out that CNN in the past had regularly gotten video footage of former President Barack Obama golfing -- and then noted that Trump regularly ripped Obama for his golfing habits during the 2016 presidential campaign.

"It's called hypocrisy," Lemon said, before adding that CNN "may have to get taller cameras" to catch Trump golfing in the future.

This is OK when a very wealthy white Pres does it. It's not OK when a not so rich black Pres does much less of it.

That's the Rwinger Way.

He is just being our Champion and never leaving the White House Golf Course because there is so much work to be done.

On his back stroke.

Unfortunately, he can appoint people to f things up while he golfs.

About 2/3 of Righties here passed along their outrage when the Black guy played golf or took a vacation.

Oddly, none of those tax-guardians give a sh!zzle when the Orange-a-tang blows millions every weekend.

There must be a word that describes that sort of ideology based logic, but I just cant come up with it...

Anybody got a word for that kind of behavior?

#6 | Posted by oldwhiskeysour at 2017-12-28 10:25 AM

OWS

"Anybody got a word for that kind of behavior?"

Yeah, I've got two words that describe Trump's logic. They're "Screw You!"

Some of us knew right from the beginning that Trump had his eye on the U.S. Treasury but our warnings were ignored. We warned that Trump would embezzle every dime he could get his hands on. We said that leopards don't change their spots. We said that once a con-artist, always a con-artist. We said that he was a sociopath with no conscience.

Not all of us deserve this incompetent lying ----. But those who voted for him certainly do. They got exactly what they voted for and he did not come with a "return with a receipt." Or even a "Made in America" label.

#8 | Posted by jpw at 2017-12-28 11:50 AM

tsk tsk
All you losers and haters should already know: it's ok when a rich white guy does it (and does much much more of it), but when a half-black president with one African name and a middle name of HUSSEIN(!!!) does it, there must be hell to pay.

EXACTLY!!! Trump ripped Obama and Liberals went ape poop defending him. Trump does the same thing and it becomes front page news in many media outlets. I love how they use the word hypocrisy as if it doesn't apply to them as much as anyone else. This is why Dems are laughed at. Not sure it's better than people crying about Reps because of how bad they are, but it's still very funny.

Donald Trump is a hypocrite and you are a hypocrite and a toady.

No one's laughing. The game's deadly serious.

#11 | Posted by Zed at 2017-12-28 12:28 PM

Donald gave up the right to have 100 vacation days the instant he became president.

When it was to his advantage to say it, the lazy SOB said it.

typical right-wing ------------, sameism and fake equivalency crap.

Obama didn't do anything different than other Presidents. In fact, he did less than his predecessor, which was why "Liberal" (and anyone with a brain) called foul.

Trump ripped him, lying his orange ass off about Obama spending more time on the golf course than PGA pros that were competing. And that was just the start.

Then Trump went on and on about "I'd never do that, I'd be too busy!" Another massive lie.

All you have to do is see what Trump is accusing others of and you know what he's doing or what he did.

And you, little myrmidon, come along and foolishly try the "Trump does the same thing!" lie. No. Trump's not "doing the same thing." He's MILES beyond anything Obama or Bush did.

So just stop it already.

Obama averaged 41 vacation days a year. Or 11%.

Trump took off 100 days in the first 345 days of his presidency. or 29%.

See the difference, stupid?

Liberals defended Obama because he played an average amount of golf. Trump is a hypocrite because he plays three times more than Obama even though he claimed he would never have any time to play.

Don the Con complained about Obama playing golf 27 times on Twitter and countless times on the campaign trail. That's hypocrisy at its finest.

#19 | Posted by Derek_Wildstar at 2017-12-28 04:59 PM

During his campaign, Trump confirmed that " I would rarely leave the White House because there's so much work to be done. I would not be a president who took vacations. I would not be a president that takes time off."

Undoubtedly another campaign promise fulfilled. And to think that I thought his supporters were naive to believe him.

Imagine if Hillary had spent 100 days at resorts this year. The entire right-wing would be going ballistic. Don't bother denying it!

Obama has pandered to the Banks as much as Clinton, Bush and Trump. They fund everybody's campaigns, just to hedge their bets. They don't care who wins. Advantage Banks.

Trumps personal attacks on others is followed by far worse behavior than any of his opponents by Trump, then whining, lotsa whining whenever anyone points out his outrageous hypocrisy.

First of all Trump is the most offensive President in modern times. So I can't believe that would even be an issue anymore. The gloves are off and everything is fair game.

Second.. did Malia post a video of herself half nekked blowing kisses at me?

I must have missed that.

#28 | Posted by donnerboy at 2017-12-28 07:57 PM

there's a thread here on how the Trump daughters are bad people for posting a Christmas picture in their bikinis.

Not sure how many presidents it goes back. But for my whole life, each side takes offense at the other side's first family.

Michelle and her daughters, Laura and her daughters, Hillary and Chelsea, not sure about prior to them.

Trump took nearly 1/3 of his first year of presidency on vacation. In your opinion, is this similar to tabloid journalism?

I think that is out of line. Tiffany and Barron should be off limits.

But, Ivanka is fair game. So, criticism of the video is valid as long as you confine your criticism to Ivanka. Her and the bumbling brothers decided to involve themselves in politics so they have CHOSEN to throw themselves in the fire. They deserve what they get.

#37 | Posted by gtbritishskull at 2017-12-29 08:40 AM

The moment Ivanka sat in a meeting as a member of his team she stopped being the president's daughter as a role. I agree Tiffany and Barron are off limits as children of the president but the rest of them are fair game
