Rosie Gray, The Atlantic: The conservative provocateur James O'Keefe's latest stunt is possibly his biggest backfire: He attempted to sting The Washington Post with a fake Roy Moore accuser, but found himself stung, as the Post exposed the scheme in a detailed report on Monday night. ... The Washington Post incident is just his most recent own-goal. Last year, O'Keefe's Project Veritas accidentally left a voicemail for a George Soros group it was trying to sting, laying out its whole plan; there was the 2010 blunder when O'Keefe plotted to embarrass CNN reporter Abbie Boudreau by mock-seducing her on a boat equipped with sex toys; and there was O'Keefe and his colleagues' arrest in New Orleans in 2010 during an attempted sting of Senator Mary Landrieu.
"His track record over the past several years has been increasingly embarrassing," Dan McLaughlin wrote in National Review on Tuesday. "Even if you set aside the factual integrity of his reports -- and there are those on the Right who believe that 'war by the other side's rules' means not worrying about such things -- and judge O'Keefe strictly on activist terms by the scalps he collects, he's been startlingly ineffective for several years now at actually damaging any of his targets." ...
"O'Keefe has terrible judgment at times, but his news judgment is even worse," said a former O'Keefe employee who spoke on condition of anonymity to preserve professional relationships. "His sense of what is legitimately of public interest really is as bad as it looks given some of the trash he publishes."
No one wants anything to do with him.

That idiot who just got caught lying to the Washington Post certainly wanted something to do with him.
Also, there are many idiots who post here who quote him often and cite BS lies he has been caught up in as evidence of,,,, whatever.

While it's true is he is a low life POS who twists anything said and even makes things up but I hate to inform you that he still has his Right Wing followers. So in other words, EVERYONE doesn't know that. They don't believe the "disproving" part. They only remember what HE showed them and they WANT to believe as "fact". His followers chalk up him getting caught as he is just trying to do "the people's" work and some low life caught on. What I will say is everyone with half a brain knows he is scum.
They are saying he is radioactive now to give themselves cover, but as soon as he produces more lies that are even slightly believable, the whole Republican party will suddenly be talking about how good of a "reporter" he is. The same thing will happen with Moore... as soon as he is elected all of the condemnations will quietly go away (its what happens when no one in your party has any moral fiber).
But, then again, the Republican party is dumb enough to believe Trump's lies even though his lies have been irrefutably exposed so many times. Hell, they made him the pinnacle of their party. So no one should be surprised when they believe a slightly different idiot who has also been shown to be a liar and conman.

In reality most Republicans don't believe half of the stuff that they pretend to believe. They believe in tax cuts, they will pretend to believe all sorts of other things in order to get tax cuts which they know won't create growth. They just want the money. They place money above patriotism. It is who they are.
The issue is Republicans will believe anything.
You can fool some of the people all of the time. They are called Conservatives.
As with all zombie right-wing rathumpers, he will be back. It's a numbers game for them. He is relevant...I remember arguing with not-liberals on Facebook. They used the Project Veritas video about paid protesters against Drumpf ad nauseum. It works.
