Navajo Nation President: Trump Dishonored War Heroes

The leader of the Navajo Nation said Tuesday that President Donald Trump used an ethnic slur when he called Sen. Elizabeth Warren "Pocahontas" during a White House event honoring Native American veterans. Navajo Nation President Russell Begaye told CNN that the president's injection of a political attack during a ceremony honoring Navajo code talkers was "uncalled for." "This was a day to honor them, and to insert something like that -- the word 'Pocahontas' as a jab to a senator -- you know, that belongs on the campaign trail," Begaye said. "That doesn't belong in the room when our war heroes are being honored."

Kudos to Mr. Begaye for speaking truth to power. I'm sure it was the last thing he thought he'd have to do after a White House event honoring Native American veterans.

But then, Trump's disrespect for Vets is nothing new.

But, we say it is NOT a racial slur. The notion that Trump used a racial slur is just ridiculous! (The World According to Sarah!)

Even if a prominent leader of the race that was allegedly slurred says so!

After all... what would they know about it?

Didn't have a problem with the slur, just where it was used. Too funny.

Shaking my head here... Donald is so dumb. If it wasn't turning something into a slur why would it be considered derogatory to and by the person he labeled Pocahontas?

Trump is jealous of the Navajos because they can run a casino without going bankrupt.
Warren and Trump should debate: Pocahontas vs. Jokeahontas.

Is it even possible for donald to not be an -------? Like, ever?

It really doesn't look like it.

My favorite Trump joke: the frigid hooker he found in Slovenia. He likes how her urine comes out pre-chilled...

in front of a portrait of Andrew 'Indian Killer' Jackson.
...then he said, "...great spirit."

I don't think that's what he said. But you can pretend all you want.

Point is still the same: He dishonored war heroes.

And no one is surprised in the slightest.

I think Trump is a Manchurian Candidate, sent by the DNC to destroy the Republican Party once and for all.

No, he's just a moron that the republicans bought into, because they hate Hillary!

How is that an ethnic slur? Didn't warren dishonor native Americans by claiming to be one? Big Lie!!!!

1: Trump used it to be demeaning plus he has a history of cruelty to Native Americans (likely spurred by hatred toward Obama, arguably the greatest president for Natives ever).

2: It wasn't a lie, despite all the FOX koolaid you've ingested.

For someone claiming to use an incredibly scoped weapon, you sure have difficulty seeing through the most obvious partisan propaganda.
