Trump-Installed Consumer Agency Head freezes Agency

The fight for control of the U.S. consumer watchdog agency intensified on Monday as Mick Mulvaney, President Donald Trump's pick to run the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), imposed a hiring freeze and halted any new regulations.

It must be terrible being a Republican. Everything you pretended to believe in has turned out to be a lie.

Remember when they pretended that it was Hillary who was pro-Wall Street and Trump was going to stand up to those crooks?

Comments

Mr Mulvaney has always been against the core purpose of the CFPB. Why the nerve of the CFPB, it has the words "Consumer" and "Protection" right in its name.

So, in order to protect consumers, the CFPB had to reign in some egregious practices of the Wall Street finance institutions. And those Wall Streeters complained because they then had trouble exploiting consumers for profit.

So what does Pres Trump do? He turns control of the CFPB over to the interests of Wall Street.

Wells Fargo says they wish Mulvaney would have been appointed before the CFPB caught us opening millions of secret accounts and charging our customers for fees on credit cards they didn't even know they had.

Actually they just got caught again. Thankfully with Trump in charge, nothing will happen to them.

Hey moron righties, you tired of winning yet? Are you at least starting to realize how badly you've been had?

It's painful to watch these events unfold. The Righties have the ability to stop it. They just won't.

They could care less. As long as they undo everything Obama tried to do. Even if it was a good thing for them personally. Pissing off liberals is the name of the game.

A good start. Now the need to change the CPFB so that it is correctly run (constitutional).
