Yeah, admittedly comparing her arrest to kidnapping may be a bit over the top.
My moral outrage got the better of me watching that cop provoke her to the point where he finally slapped the cuffs on her.
So here is "The Truth" (which holds just as much merit as anybody elses "truth" around here.)
It is my opinion that cop provoked and antagonized that woman rather than issuing a ticket and sending her on her way.
It is my opinion that he had control of the situation and escalated it needlessly.
It is my opinion that woman did not need to be arrested and eventually die because she refused to put out her cigarette.
It is my opinion that there are too many people dying at the hands of the police and that we are one of the leading countries in police brutality (of course, not counting Syria)
It is my opinion that we are becoming a police state that demands unquestionable obedience to the whims of the arresting officer.
It is my opinion that standing up for your rights can get you caged or even killed by those who are supposed to protect and serve.
It is my opinion that in the eyes of police, you are not a citizen, you are a perp or a suspect.
It is my opinion that no matter how many unarmed civilians are killed by police there are those that believe that the dead citizen brought it down upon themselves.
It is my opinion that those who justify or excuse the killings of unarmed citizens by those sworn to protect are pieces of ----.
