While more than 80 Democrats in the House and Senate have yet to state their preferences in the race for the Democratic nomination, sources said Tuesday that most of them have already made up their minds and have told the campaigns where they stand. âÃÂÃÂThe majority of superdelegates I've talked to are committed, but it is a matter of timing, said Sen. Claire McCaskill (D-Mo.). "They're just preferring to make their decision public after the primaries are over. ... They would like someone else to act for them before they talk about it in the cold light of day."

Controversial clock malfunction angers Magic
www.freep.com
My thoughts on this subject are that a player should not be penalized because some idiot can't operate a clock properly. Also, the TNT count should be dismissed. We are talking about fractions of seconds here and their count is not official. I am sure the Magic are claiming that they were cheated, but what else is to be expected.

"The latest New York Times/CBS News poll shows "an overwhelming majority of voters said candidates calling for the suspension of the federal gasoline tax this summer were acting to help themselves politically, rather than to help ordinary Americans." Also, the poll finds many voters say they're not affected by the furor over Mr. Obama's relationship with his pastor but think it could be a big deal in the general election."
Bwahahahahahahahaha!
The American voter is too smart to be fooled by bogus populist pandering by the likes of McCain and Clinton.

April U.S. sales show shift to smaller cars
Interesting and radical idea, when fuel prices go up, people buy smaller more efficient cars! Radical, the free market at work. I hope some of you DR posters can learn something from this.
Airlines slow down flights to save on fuel
apnews.myway.com
Let me get this straight:
Airlines are giving us shittier service every year that goes by including the fact that they lose more and more of our luggage and raise ticket prices and now to add insult to injury, it will take longer to get to our destination! Isn't great how the airlines just love to rip people off!?
Come fly the greedy skies!

This is why I oppose the temporary gas tax holiday too. I hop gas prices stay high for years so people buy more efficient cars. No government intervention needed folks, the best cure for a hight price is a high price.

Why are liberals so angry about Dems going on Fox? I thought Liberals were all about engaging in dialogue with their enemies and sitting down them to talk. If JC can talk to Hamas, what is the big deal about other Dems going on Fox News? Are Liberals then againsta having a dialogue with Chavez, Castro, and Ahmadinejad? Well, they must be if they are having such a cow about Fox News.
Bush wants $770M in food crisis aid.
www.guardian.co.uk
I think this should be attached to a bill revamping our ethanol policy, otherwise it should be blocked. If we send food to poor nations and but continue our insane ethanol policy, we will have to send more food aid in the future.
(But then again, no where in the Constitution is the Fed Gov authorized to send foreign aid of any kind).

MIFL = Michigan and Florida.
No need to worry about that now. It will be settled next month.
The reason Clinton wants to settle that question now is because she knows that next month she will be in a weaker position.
