What fuckin crack are you smoking? I'm watching the rerun right now and Obama's responses are clear, concise and well spoken. McCain keeps repeating the same lines and attacks on Obama's positions and appears to become more and more desperate as the exchanges progress (he almost looks relieved when the next question is asked).

McCain is making some good points and I'm reminded of why I respected him before this election cycle began but compared to Obama he appears shrill and desperate at times.

Normally I would agree with everything you said. However, given the gravity or the situation and the meager amount of reading required (3 pages), I don't think your comments apply.

Things here are definitely not as bad as they could be, mostly downed tree branches and roof shingles. The northeastward drift in the track put Houston on the cleaner side of the storm, but it was still an interesting night.

The question, at least in my mind, is was it her JOB to get involved? Are governors usually involved in disciplinary actions of state troopers? Is it usually the business of governors to get personally involved in the runnings of law enforcement agencies?

If the answers to those questions are no, then any involvement on her part beyond the filing of reports should be viewed suspiciously. If the answer is yes, well then this is just an over blown story.

Also, if the official investigation is complete and his punishment received, why is this not enough for the Repubs (who usually side with the official investigations...)? Probably because in that scenario, Palin is in the wrong and it won't bode well for her candidacy.
