Yes, small world. In the 80s and 90s it was a different city than it is now. But it has fallen no where near the levels like a Brooklyn Center or Brooklyn Park -- those areas are completely beaten up now. CH is just the victim of a first ring suburb bordering North Mpls on the South and just across the river from Murderapolis.

Still, where else but CH can you find a city within a city?

People incorrectly view vouchers as a religious thing. I send two kids to private school and one to public. Kids are individuals that excel differently and no one school can be the right solution for all.

FYI for all the illiterati: the private school offers one religious class per semester and believe me it is all fluff. I don't send them there for religious purposes - I send them there for the discipline.

As for middle child in public school - it was his choice. Fortunately Minnesota has tops ranks in public education and we're in that district (90+ % grad rate). But 3 miles away is Columbia Heights where the rate drops into the 50s.

How do we get that disparity within a 3 mile radius, within the same public school system?

I assume the Olympics must have started.
