Whether this guy is a terrorist or you would prefer to use some other designation is almost irrelevant in comparison to what is truly the most pertinent fact of all-
Nidal Malik Hassan is a TRAITOR! He has dishonored and disgraced his country, his uniform, and the Army. Even more important than trying him for mass murder, or for terrorism, is that he should be tried for the crime he most obviously committed-TREASON!
Once he is tried, assuming he is convicted, he should be EXECUTED for the crime of betraying his country, his fellow soldiers, and fellow citizens.
And as far as I'm concerned, anybody who excuses or justifies Hassan and his crimes are themselves guilty of conduct that is at the very least bordering on sedition, regardless of all the flowery rhetoric about human rights and progressive values with which they try to cloak their treasonous conduct.
