Reminds me of a science fiction short story I read In the 70s where gays had taken over the world and the straights were the despised minority. Gays (called a different name then) were called straights and straights vice-versa. Some kind of process had been invented whereby a person's sexual orientation could be changed. At the end the hero was horrified to find that the heroine had given up, submitted to the process and become a lesbian. I presume the writer wrote it to raise awareness of what it was like for a gay in those days.
"That ending is supposed to be horrifying? It sounds hot to me.'
In those pre-cellphone days the writer's imagination didn't extend to video cameras ...
