White privilege? My family came here from Italy (legally) and was discriminated against the same way the Irish, Poles and Jews were (and sometimes still are). These groups of people, pulled themselves up by their bootstraps and managed to provide a better life for their children. The same holds true in later times, when many Koreans, Vietnamese, Filipinos came to this country (legally) and managed to pull themselves up without using their yellowness as a crutch. As a matter of fact, many of these families worked so hard that inside of 5 years they owned businesses, homes and cars. Also, their children weren't running the streets like thugs, but were instead doing their homework and excelling in school so as not to bring shame on their families. The black community on the other hand have become a group of victims and their own leaders victimize them even more by feeding on the "poor me" syndrome and telling them that their problems are all whities fault. Thankfully, there are black people that don't buy into this nonsense and you will find them heading large corporations and educating themselves in our universities.
In terms of Presidents like George Bush, yes that's privilege, but its not white privilege - its class privilege. As far as community organizers - many of them do a great job in helping their communities. Sarah Palin's remark about community organizers was a direct response to Obama's denigration of her service as a Mayor of a small town. He conveniently forgot to mention that she's a governor who fought corruption in her own Party, provided tax rebates to the citizens of Alaska, operates on a budget surplus and enjoys an 83% approval rating. Further, while I'm a Democrat, I don't buy into the propaganda, but try to look at the person and make my own judgment. Sarah Palin has actually done something, not just talked about what she was going to do - what has Obama done besides talk and give speeches off a teleprompter. I can't find a list of his accomplishments anywhere. So, in summary, what I see from articles like this one is that as soon as Obama's surrogates think he losing, they dig up the old racial excuses and stereotypes about how they've been treated because of the color of their skin. Has anybody noticed that he's half white?
It appears that the Market just loves Obama! 800+ points down in 2 days is quite an accomplishment. But I'm glad the government will be taking care of us from now on because all my savings have gone up in smoke. I've always taken care of myself but I won't be able to now - not to fear tho because Obama will pay my mortgage and make sure I have healthcare. He'll also make sure I can be reeducated in case there's a job available sometime in 2012.
