The little savings from a tax holiday seems to be considered wonderful and should be done - even if it is only $15/month or $30/month.

Total savings for the holiday?

If this gimmick is so wonderful, then why do people laugh at Bush giving away $600 plus $300 per kid?

The President has been bashed for this cheap attempt to help the public. Yet, and I'm guessing, those that support the tax holiday and are Democrats probably are bashing Bush over the stimulus money.

If I'm wrong about the D's bashing it...

Raise the taxes on gas.

I ride a horse and they're cheaper these days.

I am all for it. Let's have a gas tax holiday.

Let's have a payroll tax holiday, too.

No money from your paycheck for taxes.

Then, in three months, let's see the gov't go back to taking it.

In 2007, my first thought was, "No way Americans would vote for this lamebrain"

My second thought was "They think they're supporting her husband."

They heard her "speak" and still voted for her. Then elected her.

And still they hold them blameless and say, "It's all Monica's fault."

Republicans wept.

Al Gore. John Kerry.

Neither could defeat Bush - decisively.

So, here you have Bush, with the worst ratings that can be created - and what choices do we have this year?

John McCain who wasn't even thought of going into Iowa. All the contenders that started the battle are out (excluding Ron Paul, I think he's still at it.)

But, to present a better candidate than Gore and Kerry, we are presented Hillary and Obama.

If you had a choice between Gore/Kerry and Hillary/Obama - which would you choose?

Instead of a better candidate - did we go worse?
This was to be the year, 2008, that the D's take everything in the elections.

I think Hannity was wrong. He said the Republicans are their own worse enemy. They have the capacity to lose the election all by themselves. He doesn't lay that claim on Democrats.

These parties have found the capacity to defeat from within.
