Post whatever you want. There are no rules, except for this one.
The influential conservative weblog RedState announced Friday that it has banned birthers and truthers from its site, publisher Erick Erickson announced. "If you think 9/11 was an inside job or you really want to debate whether or not Barack Obama is an American citizen eligible to be President, RedState is not a place for you," he wrote. "All of us have an obligation to vet those who we ally with. Just because someone is stridently against the size of government does not make him an ally if he also believes the U.S. Army blew up the World Trade Center. Such a person brings disrepute on us all, deservedly so." read more
Take the poll.
At the link, the new senator's wife's vid from over a quarter century ago. The far-left is a-twitter about it for some reason.
If anyone could tell me what other song it sounds like between about 1:48 to 1:53 I would appreciate it.
Also:
* Led Zeppelin with two For What It's Worth covers
* Jefferson Airplane at Woodstock with White Rabbit
Straight from the mean streets of Monterrey, Mexico, Mini Daddy Adriansito sings "El Nino Mas Bonito." Spanish translations welcome. read more
* Some medieval music (apparently from Hesperion XX)
* One of the best versions of Wonder by Natalie Merchat, despite a few glitches and a very annoying audience.
* Guds Speleman by Garmarna. Slow and in Swedish, but pretty good.
None of these are parodies:
* Natalie Merchant goes high and makes it on this Joni Mitchell cover. Check it out.
* Masha from #folkmetal Arkona is out standing in her field, and banging a drum too.
* Fleet-fingered Olga Shishkina plays Scherzo on the zither-like (harp+balalaika) gusli.
* Eluveitie w/ Little Red Riding Hood-like Omnos.
All of those are from my Twitter, where I post things like that each Monday.
Also, if you'd like not to help Youtube as much as everyone is doing in this thread, use PeekURL.com instead. It plays Youtube and MySpace, but with only some of their ads (the ones in the videos).
Think of the fourth one as a special surprise.
Say, did everyone know that they can somewhat strike back against the Youtube monopoly by using my PeekURL.com video player? It plays Youtube and MySpace at shorter URLs, and it's one way to stick it to The Man.
* 10,000 Maniacs - My Mother The War from 1985
* Mostly non-metal song from folk metal group Arkona
* The Allman Brothers with Duane play Dreams
* Mostly non-metal song from folk metal group Arkona
I wish I could embed this, but here's ScorpioRising: link.
Meanwhile, back at one of my sites and having nothing to do with signs:
* 10,000 Maniacs with The Latin One live (from 1990; the one above is from 1985)
See my tea parties coverage for some ideas. Inform them of what Armey's said and done and see if they approve. Explain to them what libertarians want and see if they agree (their movement is to some extent a TrojanHorse for libertarianism).
It's cold. I guesstimate it's 65F or so.
Meanwhile, here are songs with pictures of people in the snow: Katrina's Fair, Egil Saga.
I took these from my Twitter feed, where each #MusicMonday I post some vids (in addition to posting politics):
* 10,000 Maniacs / Natalie Merchant live at Carnegie Hall in 1992 w/ These Are Days
* Garmarna's Herr Mannelig, with English subtitles
* Late Czech singer Zuzana Navarov with Naruby
* Russian classical composer Sofia Gubaidulina + Yuri Bashmet
* Arkona: Goi, Rode, Goi! (Russian folk metal) (KISS, growling, ship, some parts of music not that good. Rest quite good.)

Youtube recently decided to screw average content creators even more, running links in vid descriptions through a redirect script. You don't have to understand the how or the why, the point is that Youtube is collecting links from thousands of pages like this one and then "funneling" all that "link juice" into a very small number of sites friendly to them. That's what Wikipedia does too.
One tiny way to strike back is to use my video player which plays either Youtube or Myspace. It uses the same content as Youtube and shows their ads, but at least you aren't helping them with yet another link. Plus, it's Twitter-friendly.
* Natalie Merchant with Carnival at EarthDay 1995
* innocence mission - people in the city
* Heavy metal Irish mandolin
* Finnish 70s folk rock in English, which sounds in a way like the "there's gotta be a morning after" song.
