The amazing thing is just how shallow these creationists are with their belief in God. I suppose it's beyond their feeble powers of conception to suppose that the vast mysteries of the universe might have basis in events that Western civilization failed to confront during the era where their ideas reigned, you know, the ------- Dark Ages. If you expand your mind even just the tiniest bit you might even be able to convince yourself that the big bang and evolution aren't necessarily in conflict with your pitiful fairy tales. I'm not holding my breath.
Science holds itself to a standard of only describing events that are observable; creationism simply isn't relevant to the discussion based on that criteria. No one's stopping you from believing in children's stories, just leave the real work to the professionals. Science is all around you, religion is only in your head.
