Your idea regarding renaming Alcatraz and throwing Bush in there is a wonderful idea. But, since that won't happen a place full of shit and waste is the 2nd best choice. That's exactly what he's left us as his legacy.

I was talking to a very wealthy friend who is in the manufacturing industry. He and his wife called to see if we'd been hit by the tornados here in Nashville a couple of days ago. I said no.

Then I jokingly told him about my idea for " 'Nado Decoy ", an inflatable mobile home with an image of a tornado and a hand giving it the finger. You can inflate it and set it a few hundred yards from your house to taunt the tornado into striking the "Mobile Home" they seem to hate so much.

One thing around here that tickles my wife and I is how in spite of the fact Nashville is a pretty wealthy community, every time a tornado hits it's hit a mobile home in the country occupied by a woman with one tooth who of course is the one interviewed on national TV. Funny that.

Glad you and yours are unhurt. When I was a kid a tornado carved a path in the ground 20 feet from the side of our house, turned, picked up the garage from it's foundation, and set it down 400 ft. from our back porch. Took our swing set and left it in a crumpled heap next to the relatively unscathed garage that was far from it's foundation.

Mom had my sister and I (we were about 6 then) praying. Gotta believe that helped.

And yes, Oohrah is one of the most decent Republicans I've come across on the 'net, and a seemingly very nice person.

As per their wishes my mom and biological father were buried. My sister, who passed away a couple of weeks ago, chose cremation.

As I've scattered my sister's ashes - going down the list of places she requested - I'm struck by how much more meaningful (let alone helpful to the plants and flowers) cremation is.

The only bummer so far is that one place Beverly requested scattered ashes was at Comerica Park, home of the Detroit Tigers. I went there a week ago Saturday and scattered vials on the outfield when they held an 'onfield clinic'. The Tigers haven't been doing so well at home.

Next stops: The Atlantic Ocean and Gulf of Mexico in a couple of weeks.

One other cool thing Beverly did was grow her hair out between chemo treatments and donate it to "Locks of Love", and organization that makes wigs for children with cancer.

She was always a giver and very loved by many. So far I have over 300 RSVP's for her Memorial and the dinner afterwards which will be held over Memorial Day weekend. We're making it a fundraiser for the Ronald McDonald House. Bev often visited the kids on the pediatric oncology floor where she got treatment the last 7 years. Took her dog, Basil along for pet therapy with the kids. He does a lot of amazing tricks. My favorite is when she'd put a treat on the floor and say, "stolen". He wouldn't pick it up until she said, "paid for". LOL

She was a very kind soul.

They say things come in waves. My sister had been doing really well with her cancer treatments. They had it in a 'chronic' condition. However, the last two months it took off like a banshee. We were natural brother and sister adopted together and very close. I'm going to miss her tremendously. But, I know she's in a good place and I'll see her again one day.

After she passed I got a call from the Eye Bank. They had a 25 year old who needed a cornea transplant. Of course, I said yes. It's nice to know someone's sight has been restored and they they're looking at the world now through my sister's eyes.

Lest we forget that in January Hillary said Michigan and Florida won't count anyway.

The Democratic nomination process is essentially over. There's no argument Clinton can make to superdelegates as to why they should overturn the will of the voters.

I hope she'll do the right thing and concede in the morning. Otherwise, she'll become a pariah and useless in the Senate by continuing to drag a contest she has no chance of winning on for another month.
