Palin Quits Book Signing, Angers Fans

In Noblesville, Ind., Thursday, Sarah Palin left without signing copies of her book for about 300 people who were given wristbands and waited six hours for her. Video showed the crowd chanting "sign our books!" amid cries that she was a quitter as her bus prepared to depart. "She left 300 folks standing in the rain and cold without explanation or even an address at exit," one crowd member posted on Palin's Facebook group.

According to a new study, poor fear conditioning at the tender age of 3 can predispose that person to break the law as an adult. "There's no 100 percent correspondence between conditioning deficits and crime: Not all poor conditioners will become criminals and not all criminals have the early fear conditioning deficits," explained study author Yu Gao, a research associate in the department of criminology at the University of Pennsylvania. His findings are published in the Nov. 16 online issue of the American Journal of Psychiatry.

Microsoft Co-Founder Allen Has Cancer

Paul Allen, co-founder of Microsoft, has non-Hodgkin's lymphoma and has begun treatment, his sister says. Allen, 56, founded Microsoft in 1975 with Bill Gates but left in 1983, when he was diagnosed with another form of cancer -- Hodgkin's disease.
