1-in-16 Mortgages Delinquent

      <wordzilla:destination>http://apnews.myway.com/article/20091117/D9C18RSG4.html</wordzilla:destination>

The pace at which people fell behind on their mortgages slowed during the summer for the third consecutive quarter, but the overall delinquency rate hit another record, a new report shows. For the three months ended Sept. 30, 6.25 percent of U.S. mortgage loans were 60 or more days past due, according to credit reporting agency TransUnion. That's up 58 percent from 3.96 percent a year ago. Being two months behind is considered a first step toward foreclosure, because it's so hard to catch up with payments at that point.

<wordzilla:extended>I speculated months ago either prime mortgages, credit cards or commercial properties would be next - Lord knows I pray to be wrong.</wordzilla:extended>

Barack Obama has offered John Boehner the hottest ticket in town and he's turned it down.
A spokesman for the House minority leader said that the White House has invited Boehner to attend next week's state dinner with Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, but that Boehner has declined because he already has plans to be back home in Ohio for the Thanksgiving holiday.
Boehner who complained earlier this month that Obama's White House hasn't invited Republicans over to talk health care since April attended a state dinner for Queen Elizabeth in 2007, when fellow Republican George W. Bush was president.

Lemelle on Tuesday and filed into the online electronic court records on Thursday, is the latest development in the decades-long desegregation lawsuit, Joyce Marie Moore v. the Tangipahoa Parish School Board.
"I think (the judge is) letting the superintendent and the School Board know he is very serious about this," said Patricia Morris, president of the parish chapter of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People. "The orders are meant to be complied with and haven't been."

California, which has been pummeled by economic problems ranging from plunging revenues to political spending battles, may not be alone. Arizona is next in line to suffer some of the same troubles, followed by Rhode Island and Michigan, according to a study released by the Pew Center on the States on Wednesday. Oregon, Nevada, Florida, New Jersey, Illinois and Wisconsin round out the list of the 10 states with the worst economic decay, the Pew Center said in the report.

White House Loses While Trying to Silence the Media

They called off the war on Fox because it was making them look like whiny, thin-skinned losers. But as I wrote at the time, the war didn't really end. It was always just a change in strategy. The arm twisting and bullying continues, only now it's going on out of the public's view:

<wordzilla:extended>"At least one Democratic political strategist has gotten a blunt warning from the White House to never appear on Fox News Channel, an outlet that presidential aides have depicted as not so much a news-gathering operation as a political opponent bent on damaging the Obama administration.

The Democratic strategist said that shortly after an appearance on Fox, he got a phone call from a White House official telling him not to be a guest on the show again. The call had an intimidating tone, he said.

The message was, "We better not see you on again," said the strategist, who spoke on condition of anonymity so as not to run afoul of the White House. An implicit suggestion, he said, was that "clients might stop using you if you continue."

I sincerely hope this nation survives every attempt at subverting the Constitution by the leftist machine. God help U.S. - Could they be any more blatant?</wordzilla:extended>

"Nidal Hassan is a hero. He is a man of conscience who could not bear living the contradiction of being a Muslim and serving in an army that is fighting against his own people. This is a contradiction that many Muslims brush aside and just pretend that it doesn't exist. Any decent Muslim cannot live, understanding properly his duties towards his Creator and his fellow Muslims, and yet serve as a US soldier. The US is leading the war against terrorism which in reality is a war against Islam. Its army is directly invading two Muslim countries and indirectly occupying the rest through its stooges."

Two hundred and thirty seven members of Congress are millionaires, according to a new report by the Center for Responsive Politics -- that's 44 percent of the body compared to about 1 percent of Americans overall.

<wordzilla:extended>"CRP says California Republican Rep. Darrell Issa is the richest lawmaker on Capitol Hill, with a net worth estimated at about $251 million. Next in line: Rep. Jane Harman (D-Calif.), worth about $244.7 million; Sen. Herb Kohl (D-Wis.), worth about $214.5 million; Sen. Mark Warner (D-Va.), worth about $209.7 million; and Sen. John Kerry (D-Mass.), worth about $208.8 million."

This statement is priceless:

President Barack Obama on Saturday described the shooting at Fort Hood as "a crime against our nation," and called on Americans to remember the fallen and honor those who rushed to help the wounded. He also said he would continue to closely monitor the investigation.
"It is an act of violence that would have been heartbreaking had it occurred anyplace in America," Obama said in his weekly radio and Internet address. "It is a crime that would have horrified us had its victims been Americans of any background. But it's all the more heartbreaking and all the more despicable because of the place where it occurred and the patriots who were its victims."

<wordzilla:extended>Of course I'll HAVE to agree with him on that statement. So when are the rest of his butt-sniffing buddies here going to do the same? A crime against our nation can only succeed by someone who is not OF this nation...hmmmmmmmmmmmm...food for thought, eh? Here you have it in your leader's OWN words.</wordzilla:extended>
